What they say: "The Alvin Rubber Teether Comforter is a great product from the Meiya & Alvin range by Suncrest. Combining all you need from a comforter, soft body for comforting and snuggling and a natural rubberhead for chewing. The natural rubber used is from a sustainable source in country of manufacture and all filling is made from recycled fibres, not just good for little one."

This is one of the best teething products I've come across so far. I don't think I've seen another product like this on the market. The design has clearly been thought through. It's soft body makes it nice to hold and cuddle but the natural rubber head is great for her mouth to chew. The head is also a rattle and Daisy loved shaking it to make it sound. Its made from natural rubber and the materials are non toxic and BPA free. It's easy to wipe clean and I love that its also machine washable!

How did this product make your life easier?

Daisy spent long periods of time chewing on Alvin's ears and trunk. She loved the feel of the rubber against her gums. I found that Alvin was a great distraction tool and kept her busy while I made dinner and washed up. We also took Alvin with us to the supermarket and on long car journeys. It's great value for money and in my opinion its affordable for most Mums. I found that because it has more than one sensory feature it kept her entertained for slightly longer then other teething products.

This is better than some of the other teethers out there. Its the next Sophie La Giraffe! It has everything you need in a newborn toy (teether, comforter and rattle) which is what makes it stand out. It is easy for tiny fingers to grip and the cotton body means it doesn't take up much space when transporting. Its well presented and is part of a collection of natural baby products. I love the fact that the stuffing is made from recycled products!

What changes would you make to this product?

There's really not much I would want to change about this product. I really like it. If I had to think of something then I'd maybe make the tusks of the elephant more defined so there are extra surfaces for baby to explore with there mouth and chew. From a marketing perspective the collection could be expanded by creating Alvin in different colours although this could take away from the lovely character.

This is a lovely item although perhaps more for a 3-month than for a newborn. It's soft enough for them to hold but easy to suck or chew on the rubber face. It's a cross between a Jellycat and Sophie the Giraffe. It's a very high quality item and would make a lovely gift. If I'd introduced this to my LO from an earlier age I could see it becoming a favourite.

How did this product make your life easier?

It's great to give him a toy that I know is safe to go in his mouth. As babies want to put everything in their mouths this is really important. It is also great to have something made from natural products rather than anything artificial.

Would you choose this product to win?

This is a really lovely item and a great gift. I would have been delighted to receive it when my son was born but I probably wouldn't have bought it for him myself. It's a very engaging item too and one that would be suitable when they get older too so it has a longer life span than many newborn items.

What changes would you make to this product?

There is nothing I would change. It's a lovely item.
