2015 – Baby Monitor Award!

Summer Infant’s Privacy Plus Wide View Video Monitor is easy to use, with a lovely, big screen and good picture and sound quality.

The camera cable is longer than some other monitors and there are cable clips included, which is really helpful. The operating buttons are a good size and the ability to adjust sound and brightness is handy. The night vision and zoom functions are great ideas but the quality is unfortunately a bit disappointing.

A moveable camera would also be a nice addition to the monitor, especially as baby grows and moves around more. The product doesn't have all the extras – lullabies, a night light etc. but as a basic video monitor it's near perfect. Parents can clearly see and hear what baby is doing and that's what is important.

2015 – Shortlisted for 'Best Nursery Product' Award!

The Summer Infant Privacy Plus Wide View Video Monitor is easy to operate, with straightforward instructions – just plug in and go.

The screen is nice and big, with excellent picture quality (especially the night vision) and the sound quality is also good. The video can be switched off without switching the whole monitor off (a useful feature) and the operating buttons are a good size. The sound and brightness are easily adjusted and the camera cable is longer than some other monitors; cable clips are included too, which is really helpful.

On the negative, the zoom function is quite limited (you can’t pan in zoom mode, for example) and the casing feels a bit cheap. The product doesn't have 'all the' extras, like lullabies and a night light, but as a basic video monitor it's right on the money (just extend the video play time!).
