Would you recommend the 350 Lightshow to other mums?

This BT 350 Lightshow Baby Monitor is brilliant, it is easy to use and set up. Good quality sound monitor, a variety of settings to allow you to found the perfect setting for your baby to drift to sleep. It is small enough to be portable about the house, has a great range. You can monitor room temperature, it alarms if it gets too hot and allows you to talk to your baby remotely.

How did this product make your life easier?

It gives me complete confidence that my baby is safe whilst he is sleeping whilst I am not in the room. It allows me to calm him before bed with soft lullabies. It acts as a night light and also has a white noise setting. So you are getting a lot of functions for one product price. Quite simply I love the 350 Lightshow.

Would you choose this product to win?

It is fantastic value for money. You get so much functionality in one device. The star show is simply lovely and seems to be really calming to the baby. The lullabies are lovely, you can adjust them and start them without disturbing baby. It is easy to use, simple to set up and very transportable. It is a brilliant product.

What changes would you make to this product?

I think if the 350 Lightshow came with a video monitor it would be absolutely perfect but in all honesty it leaves you feeling like you can do without the video monitor as it monitors everything else and is hugely comforting to the baby.

Tested by mum Valerie Nixon for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend the BT 350 Lightshow Baby Monitor to other mums?

I would definitely recommend this monitor. I love the BT 350 Lightshow Baby Monitor. Firstly it gives me peace of mind as I can clearly hear my baby throughout the night or during nap time. The adjustable volume makes this possible. The light show is beautiful and calming. I have tried it with my newborn baby and toddler, they both love it. The product is very easy to use (even toddler can put lights and music on for baby).

How did this product make your life easier?

The main thing that this does is to give you peace of mind. Firstly you can clearly hear your baby with a portable parent control anywhere in your house. Secondly the product tells you the temperature of your baby's room, so you can then adjust heating or clothing as appropriate. The coloured noise indicator is also useful. I have a noisy sleeping baby so this means I can turn the volume low, but will still know if my baby starts crying.

Would you choose this product to win?

It is reliable, reasonably priced and has multi functions. The BT 350 Lightshow Baby Monitor will be suitable as my baby grows. It saves me checking my baby all the time because I can hear anything that happens. The light show and 'white noise' function is calming and helps settle a tired baby.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I was to change the BT 350 Lightshow Baby Monitor I would suggest adding a camera. That way you would also be able to see your baby as well as hearing them. Also I would suggest being able to add additional monitors to the same parent unit. This would be of benefit when you have more than one child or if you baby sleeps and naps in different rooms.

Tested by mum Deborah Kenyon for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definately recommend the BT 350 Lightshow Baby Monitor to a friend. It feels and looks great quality and a is lovely design. It feels sturdy and has already survived a launching by my toddler. It is so easy to use and I had it set it up within minutes. For the price, it has far more features than I would have expected.

How did the BT 350 Lightshow Baby Monitor make your life easier?

The HD sound on this monitor is fantastic. In fact it is so good I went in to my baby continually when I first started using it as I thought he was awake, but it was just the monitor picking up movement and breathing sounds! It has lullabies, white noise, nature sounds and classical music to choose from, so there is something to soothe every baby. The light show projected on the ceiling is lovely and my baby (and I) really enjoy this feature.

Would you choose this product to win?

I think the BT 350 Lightshow Baby Monitor is great value. It has features and sound quality I would have expected from a more expensive unit. Temperature gauge, nightlight, torch, 18 different lullabies which can be played on a loop or one song/ sound played continually if it's baby favourite, fabulous sound quality, talk back. It is certainly better than any monitor I have previously owned.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only recommendation I would have would be the ability to use batteries with the baby unit as well as parent unit as I can think of lots of situations where I would find that feature handy - holidays, summers days when baby is perhaps sleeping outside or visiting friends/relatives without having to cram cables/plugs into changing bag r making sure baby is situated near enough to a plug point.

Tested by mum Jane Hobday for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

The audio quality on the BT 350 Lightshow Baby Monitor is the best I have come across and I have tried many baby monitors in the past. Even over a long range I've experienced no interference and only crisp sounds from my baby. This monitor really does what it was set out to and does it well.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

You can rest assured that the noises you hear from the monitor will come through clear and will be able to tell murmurs and actual cries where baby needs tending to. The range is a huge positive here too as I'm trying to get back in to shape and I feel confident in the next room with this monitor.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

I would say the colour scheme. Perhaps releasing 3 new colours schemes, pink, blue, grey to fit more in line with typical baby bedroom colour schemes would help.

Why would you recommend the BT 350 Lightshow Baby Monitor to a friend/fellow mum?

This is a great monitor at a great price offering crystal clear audio. We love the additional light show feature that keeps our baby amazed until he drifts off to sleep. A very tranquil and therapeutic product that often helps me relax after a long day at work.  I really do feel at ease when using this monitor and it has really helped me to get back to a normal lifestyle whilst ensuring I tend to my baby when they need me.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

By watching over my baby and keeping them entertained I'm happy to go about my day to day jobs.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

It would be great to have a few more lightshows, as the ones it already has are great but a few more would be lovely.

Tested by mum Enrica Kennedy for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

This is a good well produced quality product for its money. It's got a nice light show with a range of music.  The range was pretty good for the most part, although lost connection at times. Unsure if this was due to my wi-fi or system.  There are lots of extras which are easily accessible.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

This is a basic monitor and it does the job.  Its sound is clear which proved me with reassurance as I was able to hear my baby.  Again like the other monitors it was easy to work.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

The scribe base unit is quite bulky and this could be worked on.  More animation in regards to the light show would be a benefit.

Tested by mum Samantha Smyth for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

This is a basic product with a good range of lullabies. Good range, good quality sound.  I liked the adjustable night light and felt the charging dock was a great feature.  The feeding alert is also a good added extra. The talk back system is beneficial.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

It provides reassurance to a certain level, however personally I would rather have a baby monitor with a screen monitor so I can see my baby.  I like that when you are losing range it lets you know. Light show is great and definitely worked to get my baby over.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

Add a screen. Add a clip devise so you can make it portable.

Tested by mum Paula Murray for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

This unit has good features and I love the light show although clarity can be improved particularly in lighter evenings. It's got good quality sound, music and range.  The features are easy to use.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

I have an adequate size house and this unit worked well throughout the entire house. I tried it from room to room, although it was a bit frustrating having to move the whole thing.  It provides reassurance and is good value for money.  It's clever being able to inform of temperature and the torch is useful.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

This is not a portable monitor and that's a downside as you have to move the whole thing if changing rooms.  Reduction on size would benefit as it can be bulky.

Tested by mum Janine Gordon for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

This is an affordable unit. It looks fine and the quality is good.  It's easy to set up and I had no issues being able to work this out.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

This has got a wide range of useful features well thoughtout. I found the sound very clear and felt the talk back system a great aspect to this monitor.  The light show is good although better Oban a wall close to the monitor as too far and you can lose the clarity of the picture. This product is good as it’s not too complicated which is what we as busy mums need.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

Maybe less bulky but other than that, it’s not bad for the money.
