Bright and colourful this combination car seat lasts from birth to four years, so is a great budget buy. The quality may not be as good as other models, but it’s a solid choice for a second car seat to be used occasionally.

This smart and colourful seat does the job at an appealingly low price and even features an alarm that sounds if your toddler undoes the buckle – perfect if you’ve a little escape artist on your hands.

Does the job at an appealingly low price

The most impressive thing about the Shuffle is that it can be used from birth rear facing, then can be fitted forward facing and used until roughly four years old saving you buying both a Group 0+ and Group 1 car seat. Our testers were impressed with the sturdy five-point harness and the several recline positions, including a more comfortable sleeping position for any long or night-time drives.

The quality of the material and plastic was reflected in the low price, though, and our mum and dad testers thought the fabric might get a bit sweaty in warmer weather. The Shuffle is on the compact side, so might be a squeeze for larger children, but it’s an ideal choice for parents on a small budget or as a second seat for grandparents or childminders.
