At a glance:

Soft, oaty and healthy – these are bound to be a hit with your tot. Our panel of mum testers loved the variety of flavours and the eye-catching packaging, yet the bars are pretty crumbly, so probably not one to eat in the car!

What they say:

“For busy little explorers... our bars are packed full of wholegrain oats and juicy fruit: blackcurrants, apples, oranges, carrots, bananas…the list goes on. Our bars are: always organic, come with a no junk promise, contain nothing unnecessary and are suitable for vegetarians.”

The Organix Goodies Soft Oaty Bars packaging looks good and appealing. As a parent looking for snacks for my little one they attract me to them as they are advertised as organic, no unnecessary additives and ‘no junk promise’. They seem to be a healthy nutritious snack I would be able to offer my toddler. They come in lots of different flavours, which is also a bonus to give a variety of different tastes to my little one. Although these snacks look good in the box, the product itself doesn’t look anything more than a cereal/fruit bar inside, I also found when my little one was eating them they crumbled a lot making a lot of mess and meaning she played with them more than ate them!

How did this product make your life easier?

The product is great to give as an easy snack, they are healthy but convenient for in-between meals at home or on the go. They are individually packaged inside the box meaning I can take one with me whilst I’m out and are a good size for a small snack. Although they are great at home on the go, they crumble easy, which means I have a bit of cleaning up to do afterwards to get all the small bits!

The Organix Goodies Soft Oaty Bars stand out because they are healthy and organic, and as a parent you always want to give your child healthy food that they will enjoy and try different flavours. These bars seem to offer that and state that clearly on the packaging, which would make me look at them and buy them in the shop. When looking for snacks for my little one I would definitely consider these a product that stands out.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would definitely change the consistency of the Oaty bars if I could, my little one easily crumbled the product up whilst eating them and ended up having bits of oats everywhere! I would prefer to give her some cut up fruit as a snack instead as it’s less mess to clean up.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend this product to other mums as, for one, it is a healthy snack full of goodness with the added bonus of being super tasty for both adults and children.  These bars will keep my baby’s hunger at bay until his next meal. The bars are also very well packaged and handy to just grab and pop in your bag or pocket. The colourful wrapping entices toddlers I feel and they are also great value.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product makes my life easier as a mum as my toddlers actually like them which is half the battle of giving them a healthy snack. My three-year-old loves to choose which colour he’s going to have and he knows the flavours inside out now. Life is always easier when you can grab something whilst running out the door.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose this product above others on the market as I feel it is definitely great value for money and there is a good selection of flavours for little ones. They have great eye-catching packaging, they are easy to grab and eat on the go which is a big plus for me. Above all, they do not contain as much sugar like other products so I think they should be in the running for a Mother & Baby award purely for this reason.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I had to change something about them, it would be that they are possibly a bit too crumbly making them quite a messy snack, especially when in a car as the small crumbs go everywhere. I would possibly make them slightly chewier to hold them together better for little hands and mouths. That said, this is not enough of a reason for me stop buying them and I will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Yes, I have already told people about this product as my son's nursery don't allow sweet products. I love how the boxes are not too big as well so you can take them out without them taking up too much space in the changing bag.

How did this product make your life easier?

These Organix bars have made my life easier as I now have a healthy treat I can give my children. Before I discovered these, I was feeding them cereal bars as a treat, and now comparing them both I realise in comparison, the cereal bars are full of sugar.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes, I 100% believe that they should win and I hope they do. I think they stand out because the boxes are so colourful and straight away you see the no junk promise. Also, the variety of flavours is amazing.

What changes would you make to this product?

I wouldn't change a thing about this item, it is a perfect snack for children!

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this product to a friend. For starters, the bars come in many different flavours which is great for my baby as he loves variation in his diet. The packaging is bright and eye catching, drawing you in to study it further. Looking at the ingredients, they are healthy and organic which is the biggest plus point. I'm always on the hunt for snacks for my baby that I know are good for him, but also quick and easy for on the go. The bars are all individually wrapped so I can just pop them in my bag without worrying about mess.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product makes my life easier as it is so quick and simple. If baby's hungry he doesn't have to wait long to bed fed when having this snack. They are a good size for his little fingers to grip, as well as being big enough to fill him up until dinner time. I don't have to worry that I'm putting food in his mouth that isn't good for him.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would definitely choose this product as part of my toddlers varied diet but it wouldn't be the only snack. He likes to try a range of different products and textures and can get bored of eating the same things. The good thing with Organix bars is not only that are they organic which appeals to me as a mother, they also come in a whole range of flavours, whereas other products can be limited to just one or two. Something else that may appeal to parents or carers is on the side of the box where you get free entry into certain attractions!

What changes would you make to this product?

I don't think there is a lot that needs to be changed with the Organix goodies bars. They are healthy, organic, quick and easy, with a variety of flavours for little ones. If I did have to choose one thing it would be to look at a way to reduce the cost of the bars without compromising on flavour and ingredients.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I love the fact that the boxes are very inviting so that when my toddler goes into her drawer, she is automatically drawn to them. They come in yummy flavours, even carrot cake which sounds and tastes naughty but is actually filled with goodness. I would recommend this to my friends as it’s an easy snack to quickly dish out that is full of organic goodness.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product is fantastic for toddlers as snacks. The Soft Oaty Bars are easy to carry around for when my toddler gets hungry. As you know when toddlers get hungry they want food now and these bars fit into life so well. They are also filling and my toddler is left satisfied.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes, I would choose this product over other similar products due to the variety of yummy flavours they do and how nice and soft they are. I have previously bought other bars in the past but found they are too chewy, or that they are full or sugar. These bars are really soft which is perfect for toddlers and I have no concerns that my toddler would choke on them.  The only downside is that they are a bit crumbly, but I would rather that than the food to get stuck.

What changes would you make to this product?

There is not a lot I would change about this product apart from the fact that they are very crumbly, so I have to give it to my toddler in halves (I do believe they do a mini product now which is very handy), and the fact it is a little pricey. I think £2 would be a better selling price and make it competitive. Also, possibly having them available to sell individually would be amazing as then it would be a quick and cheaper way to buy a snack out and about.
