When breastfeeding finding the best breast pump for you is so important. The Ardo Calypso is a powerful yet quiet and gentle electric breast pump which is compact and easy to use. It offers great flexibility as you can choose from 64 combinations of speed and suction to meet your individual needs and comfort whilst expressing. These can be changed independently during pumping, allowing for very sensitive adjustments for stimulation and expressing.

While it's not a hands-free breast pump, it can be worn with a breast pump bra and the Vacuum Seal technology in all Ardo Pumpsets provides a 100% barrier against bacteria and ensures that no breastmilk or impurities can enter the connecting tube or pump. This provides a closed system and reliable protection against contamination of the breastmilk, and prevents infection.

It doesn’t have double pump capability, although if that is something you’d prefer there's also a Ardo Calypso Double Electric Breast Pump on the market.

Testing the Ardo Calypso Single Electric Breast Pump

One review said: "Absolutely the best breast pump I have ever used, the hospital gave me one of these to borrow for two weeks and it was so much better than any pump I've used before so I had to invest in this model to keep up the feeding. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and the different powers suction are a godsend, and not noisy either. I like that Ardo offer the option of a single or a double pump."

Another mum tester said: "After having another brand for my other two children, I was introduced to the Ardo whilst my son was in special care. I rented one from the hospital and loved it! It’s a lot quieter and the settings are less harsh meaning I could express without it hurting. It’s so easy to use and I can express whilst my son is feeding. I also find the suction takes less time to express."
