We all try and do our part to help the planet, after all we want our children to have the best environment to grow up in. The good news is there are loads of eco-friendly baby brands popping up, as well as huge supermarkets such as Asda and Aldi changing their products, understanding parents are looking for less plastic, less wastage and more sustainable options.

From sustainable baby clothes, to plastic-free alternatives for weaning, to embracing second-hand over new, here are 10 of our favourite eco-friendly baby brands for babies and toddlers.

KIDLY’s Eco Shop has everything you need to shop more consciously, from certified organic, to plastic-free swaps, recycled materials and eco wood. Their site makes greener living so simple with clever, conscious, sustainable & recycled picks.

The Little Green Sheep sells all the baby bedding you'll ever need for your nursery, including bed sheets, baby blankets, cot mattresses and mattress protectors. They also sell gorgeous rugs and nursery garlands so you can personalise your little one’s space.

Kit and Kin are well known for their green credentials, particularly for their eco nappies. We love their starter packs, with everything you need from nappies and wipes to their ultimate collection of beautiful, ethical and eco-friendly baby essentials.

For certified organic cotton clothing for babies, toddlers and children that’s brightsoft and made to last, look to Frugi. In fact in 2020, Frugi were awarded Two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, Sustainable Development and International Trade.

If you’re wanting to make sustainable swaps around your home, not just when it comes to baby products, look to Boobalou, as well as a brilliant Eco Baby section, their website has sections on eco home products, reusable solutions and even planet-friendly skincare and makeup too. Plus you can shop brands such as Bambino Mio (a silver winner in our 2022 Mother&Baby awards for Best Reusable Nappy) and The Cheeky Panda.

Creators Emma and Carly are mums themselves, with 5 children between them, ranging in age from 10 months to 9 years. They found that it was impossible to find stylish and practical tableware/accessories that were also safe and sustainable. So they set up their own brand! All their weaning sets are made from food-grade silicone, plus they’re dishwasher safe for easy cleaning, 100% free from BPA, PVC and phthalates, microwave safe and stain resistant! Hooray!

Bamboo is a brilliant sustainable product that can do so much more than you may think. The Bamboo Baby Company create gorgeously soft towels, bedding, wraps and blankets perfect for baby’s sensitive skin.

Another bamboo-led brand which you may have heard of is bamboo bamboo. We love their colourful character plates with suctions to stop your little angel throwing their bowl across the kitchen. Your little one will love these eco friendly bamboo weaning plates. Now to decide which colour of the rainbow to go for…

A toy subscription service with a difference, Whirli offers a more affordable and sustainable alternative to buying toys. With flexible subscriptions you can spend tokens on the toys of your choice, get the toys, play, then send them back when your child is bored with them and swap them for new ones!
