The Momcozy M9 Mobile Flow was widely praised by our testers for its performance, convenience, and smart features, making it a standout choice for modern mums.

Many testers were impressed by how comfortable and discreet the pump felt. One tester said, "I got on well with this product. It yielded a good amount of milk, and it was comfortable to wear." Another highlighted, "I liked this pump, it felt a lot smaller and more discrete than others I have used… It was comfy to wear and I loved the smart travel case too."

A key benefit cited by multiple users was the hands-free functionality, which allowed for multitasking during pumping sessions. One parent noted, "Being hands free was great and meant I could utilise my time so much better than I can when I’ve used wired pumps previously," while another shared, "It has made pumping a much easier task than it was before I started using this… I can now be hands-free and mobile which is absolutely game-changing."

The quiet operation also received high praise. One user said, "It’s so simple to pop in and super quiet, I was pumping whilst having my hair cut and my hairdresser didn’t notice."

The app connectivity is another standout feature. Testers found it useful for tracking and managing sessions, with one reviewer saying, "The hands-free function gave me the ability to do other things… I like the layout of the app for keeping track of progress." Another added, "You can set reminders on the app, which I find really helpful to remember to pump around my feeding schedule. Battery life is also great and long-lasting."

Experienced mums were especially enthusiastic. One tester, a breastfeeding parent of three years, shared, "This is hands down without a doubt the best pump I’ve ever used. It’s compact, easy to use, hands free and the ability to control it via the app means you don’t have to risk moving it once you’ve got it in a good comfortable position."

Testing the Momcozy Mobile Flow Hands-Free Breast Pump M9

I’m six months into my breastfeeding journey and as a busy mum, by far the toughest thing I’ve had to face is pumping. My current set up with the Medela Swing Maxi means I need to put on my specific pumping bra, put together all of my pump pieces, put the flange through the bra and sit holding the machine while I do it. While the pump itself is very good, I’ve not loved that I’ve needed to “pause” while pumping. For my personal preference, I’ve regretted not having a hands-free breast pump for a while.

So, trying out the Momcozy M9 Mobile Flow was a great change. We all know how difficult it is to find a bit of “me” time as a new mum, so mine has been sprinting out of the house before my little boy wakes up so I can get to the gym and leave my husband with a bottle of pumped milk; but every morning I had been frustrated knowing that pumping takes 10 minutes out of my time and I couldn’t do much else at the same time – we all know every precious minute of sleep counts!

Before I start on anything else, I love that the pump comes with a carrier to keep everything together. I feel like I’ve been so busy since having my little boy, so being able to take that with me when needed is such a bonus. All of the pump parts go into one, so it’s really not fiddly at all! Once I paired up with the app on my phone, I was good to go and I could instantly tell that this was quite literally everything that I was looking for.

Firstly, the pump was able to go into the nursing bra that I was already wearing, I didn’t need to have a specific bra for it to fit in, it just slotted straight in and I was even able to pull my top over it and aside from seeing the timer light through my white shirt, you’d be none the wiser! It means that I can finally answer the door to one of my many deliveries without having to stop and quickly take it apart. The subtlety of it is one of the best things, in my opinion.

Once I turned it on and started pumping, it eased me into the session, which is quite standard; but what I’m not used to is having lots of different levels to pick from. I sat at a comfortable number five, but I’ve managed to get all the way up to a level 13 which is still comfortable.

One of my favourite things about this pump is I can now put it in my bra as I’m preparing my son’s food to start weaning, which, considering I’m doing some homemade purees mixed with my breastmilk, makes things so easy because by the time I need the milk it’s readily available. What’s better? I can even pick up my son if he’s having a little cry, which any pumping mum would know is an absolute game-changer, because usually with a big pump you just cannot do both.

There are so many other perks, the different levels from stimulation to expression is great; this would have been so good to have in the really early stages to ease some of the pain from being engorged.

What I love is that you’re able to submit how many mls of milk you’ve had after each session so you can have an idea of how much you’re producing and how long it takes to do so as well, giving a personalised pumping experience. It’s great that it has an app, but you also don’t need to use the app, you can just press the start button on the pump itself, or you can set it up through your phone; it’s completely your choice.

The only downside I would note is that it isn’t the easiest thing to open from the valve, so I’m often fearing that I’ll need to tug it a little too aggressively to get the milk back out – but I haven’t yet!

Final verdict

Overall, I absolutely love this product and I’m so sad I didn’t get hold of it sooner! It is expensive, coming in at £269.99, but a lot of the electric breast pumps are and I do think the perks of having it in your bra while being completely wireless has made such a huge difference to my pumping experience, especially because I’m able to pick my son up if he needs me.
