At a glance:

Our panel of mum testers loved this backpack changing bag, saying it was comfortable on their shoulders and roomy enough for all their baby essentials. The bag had clips to attach it to a pram, without tipping it. It’s a bit smaller than others on the market and a bit more difficult to clean, but all in all a good bag.

What they say:

“With lots of pockets inside and out, there's plenty of space to keep all yours and your little one's essentials organised and close to hand on all your adventures together. This Skip Hop backpack features two elasticised side pockets which are perfect for holding bottles and has a front zip pocket to store your valuables too. Complete with a removable paci pocket, removable and insulated bottle holder and removable, cushioned changing mat, this great backpack gives you the option to attach to your stroller with non-slip straps, carry with the grab handles or wear on your back with adjustable, shoulder straps.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this product to fellow mums – the bag is so easy and handy. It looks good and is not too over-the-top when carrying it around with you. We all know how many things mums need and I could fit so much in the bag without it feeling too heavy.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product makes my life easier as a mum, as it’s so easy to carry around with me and there is so much room for all the baby essentials I need on a day out.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes, the size is very good, it’s not too big and not too small. You can fit everything you need and more in it. There are so many compartments on the bag that are useful because you can find all your things really quickly. It looks good and stylish and is just a great bag all round – I absolutely love it.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I could change one thing about this product it would have to be the changing mat as it is too small. I found it wasn't easy to get stains out of the mat as well, it was hard to wash.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I'd recommend this bag because of the flexibility of the straps and the different ways you can carry it. It has a large changing mat which folds into three and has tons of space in it, and can accommodate all those extra bits and bobs. The quality seems very good and I have no complaints.

How did this product make your life easier?

This changing bag is very well designed and is packed with features including a separate holder for dummies, a separate bag for clothes and an insulated bottle bag. The inside of the bag is big and there are many zipped compartments.

Would you choose this product to win?

No, I think that this is a very expensive product compared to others on the market, and for this reason I would not buy it. Having said that, I think it is a very good 'top of the range' product. Furthermore, the style was not completely to my taste, in my view a little too 'bling'. In terms of the features of the bag I think it is great, it's just a question of whether that justifies the price.

What changes would you make to this product?

The changing mat is not wipe clean so when the inevitable happens I had to soak it in the sink with vanish and then rinse it with hot water and leave to dry – this is not a big issue but a bit of a faff. The bag is not very waterproof when out in a real downpour and the quilted effect of the material seems to get wet quite quickly.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

It’s really great that it can be used as a backpack, hands free, so you can still carry the baby. The amount of storage space was good and we liked the fact that the bottle and dummy can be kept in external pockets so are easy to access quickly. The product feels and looks expensive but there are some negatives to the bag.

How did this product make your life easier?

We found that having the bag as a rucksack was much easier and the external bottle holder was a fantastic idea. The clips to attach the bag to the handle of the pram or pushchair was also a good idea and made it easier as the pram did not tip so much. The amount of storage space in this bag meant a lot could be taken out with us as spares.

Would you choose this product to win?

We found the backpack feature a fantastic idea but the straps do slip off your shoulders. It is also very deep instead of wide so it is sometimes difficult to find things, I would personally not buy this bag due to these reasons. The bag is very expensive and we found that the stitching in the buggy pram straps was pulling after just a couple of uses.

What changes would you make to this product?

If we could change one thing about the bag it would be the buggy pram straps as we were worried they would tear.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

The changing bag has a large main compartment, which is very useful – I could easily fit all of the items needed for a day out. There is also an internal zip pocket, as well as three external zip pockets, so there is more than enough room to safely store your keys, phone and purse. It is great!

How did this product make your life easier?

The changing bag is very stylish and practical and the design and material of the bag have a feeling of quality, to look at and to use. I used the bag as a backpack and even in hot weather it was comfortable to wear. The pushchair straps also make it easy to hang from the pushchair handle too. I would recommend this bag to other Mums with more than one child, who need their hands free, without a bag swinging of their shoulder or arm. I got a couple of blobs of suncream on the material but they have wiped off very easily without leaving a greasy mark.

Would you choose this product to win?

The changing bag looks stylish, is designed well, is practical and is easy to use. I would recommend this bag as a winner as it ticks the boxes for a versatile and attractive changing bag. I have received compliments on the bag which makes me feel good!

What changes would you make to this product?

I wouldn't necessarily change anything about the bag but one thing would be a detachable shoulder strap, so that the bag could be worn in three ways.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

It is very good for an organised mum wanting lots of compartments. I particularly like the material it is made of as it is easy to wipe down. It had a bottle warmer and changing mat included. It's a very comfortable bag to wear and has enough space for all the essentials without being bulky. The quality of the bag seems durable as well.

How did this product make your life easier?

The bag has many compartments for all the different baby things I carry. It is also made of a waterproof type of material so perfect in all weather. The bag is a backpack but can also attach to the pram very easily, both are adjustable and very handy if you have loads of shopping to put under the pram.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes I love the backpack aspect as I am constantly on the go and it is very easy to wear or attach to the pram. I love how many pockets it has and most with zips to keep everything secure. I would say the only down side is the design, it is not my style but I have come to love it even though I wouldn't have picked it.

What changes would you make to this product?

The options of colours available could be broader as I am not keen on the olive but the other options are average. Perhaps more colours like coral, grey or black as this could possibly appeal to a wider market.
