Ergobaby Anywhere I Go

At a glance:

A sleek unisex design that is comfortable and padded against your back. The insulated pockets are a great feature. It’s not the most spacious bag on the market, but our panel of mum testers liked the fact it worked well for both parents.

What they say:

“Ergonomic Backpack in soft nylon fabric that has multiple pockets for organization and insulated pockets for food and bottles. Ergonomic features include ergonomic zip pulls, soft jersey backing for comfort, soft neoprene handles.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this bag to other mums as I liked all the little thoughtful features, such as the way that the adjustment pieces could be rolled up so that they didn't dangle down your back, and that it was easy to adjust the straps. The bag was sturdy and felt strong so I trusted that it was strong enough to hold everything I could fit inside. It was easy to use and transport, the zips are accessible and the pockets can be reached from the front while it is being worn.

How did this product make your life easier?

When I first got the product, I loved how it looked and all of the different pockets and features, like it would fit a lot of things and would be perfect for a family picnic. I liked the fact it was a back pack - this made it easier when out with little one to transport him and the stuff that I needed. The insulated pockets on the sides were very handy for keeping bottles cool in the summer (they even fit 500ml drink bottles).

Would you choose this product to win?

I personally would not choose this product, mostly because of the price, which I feel is a little high for what the product is. I also found that as a mother with a baby who is weaning, I could not fit change items, a change of clothes, my purse, my phone and other essentials in at the same time, which meant carrying another bag anyway when I was on my own.

What changes would you make to this product?

The width of the internal pockets could be extended with less padding around the bag, this would solve the space problem and enable more to fit inside. The padding is pretty unnecessary really and just bulks out an already bulky bag. The pocket at the front does not need to be as big as it is either, this again would give more space.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this product to a friend or fellow mum because it was good quality, you get what you pay for. Even though this item was high end budget-wise, the quality was evident. The item was also easy to store and fold and it had comfortable shoulder straps, making it comfortable to use.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product made my life easier as a mum by providing me with a secure, good quality bag to carry my childs’ essential items. This made changing my child's nappy easier as I had everything to hand when out and about. I also liked the colour of this item as myself and my partner felt comfortable using it.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would probably buy a product that cost slightly less as it is a lot of money to spend on a baby bag, however I found this item comfortable and easy to use. What stands out is the quality, however I feel the price tag isn’t necessary.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I could change one thing about this item it would be the price. As a new mum with lots of essential items to buy, I feel the price tag would put a lot of people off.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

This change bag is just fabulous, from the design to the aesthetics, I just love it. The deep pockets allow you to store everything you need for baby such as clothes, food and nappies. The insulated side pockets are perfect for bottles and food too. There's just so much room, you only need the one bag with you wherever you go. Also the grey material is great and wipes clean easily too.

How did this product make your life easier?

The backpack change bag has plenty of compartments to store everything you need when heading out with your baby. I used to have to pack a changing bag and another bag to bring bottles etc. The side pockets on the Ergobaby are brilliant for bottle and food storage and they are insulated too. It allows me to be freer when heading out as I don’t have to carry more than one bag, it also matches my pram so well! I can also carry this comfortably on my back as it is so well padded or it also fits in the under basket of the pram too.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would definitely choose this product above all others as I haven't seen another change bag like this. I love that it is a backpack design instead of the typical horizontal style change bags. You can fit so much into this bag and my husband doesn’t mind carrying it as it is a great unisex design. The backpack is also really well padded so is comfortable to carry for longer periods of time and I feel this product should win as I just couldn't be without this bag. I think it is so well designed and it even has storage for your cards and keys, so no need to bring anything else with you when heading out with baby.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only thing I would change about this bag is the price. I feel the price tag might put some people off as I know a lot of prams do come with a matching change bag but none like this. Unless you have used this you won’t understand how much easier it’s made life when heading out with your baby. The design and aesthetics are brilliant. I don't think I'd change a thing!

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Yes because it's everything that you need as a mum, it is very comfy and is clean looking and smelling. It’s also great because it's unisex and my husband is even happy to use this over our current bag. The bag has plenty of space for the two children's stuff and is perfect for days out.

How did this product make your life easier?

This bag is the biggest I have tried, there is plenty of space for my six-month-old baby's bottles, nappies and wipes. Even with my toddler’s things there is still space left in the bag which makes life a lot easier. I like that you can wear it on your back, it is unlike any changing bag I’ve ever seen.

Would you choose this product to win?

I had never heard of the product before I tested it and I think it is just as good quality as normal backpacks on the market. A back pack changing bag is a great idea as with, two kids under two, space is the key.

What changes would you make to this product?

I don't think I would change anything about the product as it has everything that I am looking for - super comfy to wear and also clean looking. It has every bit of detail that I would look for in a changing bag. I would be interested to see if they bring out any patterns or designs for the bags for the more quirky mums and dads.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I'd recommend this product to the 'light packer'. For mums on the go it's easy to transport as it is a backpack design and it's of very sturdy and high-quality material. The changing mat provided is thick and comfy for baby, easy to fold and pack away in one of the compartments.

How did this product make your life easier?

This changing bag is easy to transport and carry round, being of back pack design, it's great for keeping your front free to pick up and handle baby as well as other activities. With side pockets that are designed to keep in the heat, there was no worry about my fussy baby having to have his bottle cold.

Would you choose this product to win?

I wouldn't choose it above others on the market. The two main compartments in the bag are quite small with no give. The changing mat that comes with the bag fills the rear compartment, being a mum that likes to carry the essentials and the emergency bits, it's just not big enough. The middle and main compartment has a bit more room, but not enough needed to pack enough for a day. I ended up piling things on top. The front zip pocket is a handy compartment for small items, and the side pockets are designed for bottles to keep them warm which is great. I found it to be a very good looking and great quality product, but the lack of space is undesirable.

What changes would you make to this product?

The space inside the product. From the outside the bag looks great, on first impressions I was extremely impressed and excited by the sleek look, but opening it up I was disappointed as I wasn't packing half the essentials I has been able to fit in my original 'messenger' style changing bag.
