Orchard Toys’ Shopping List game is a riot of fun and education. The ‘shopping’ concept is simple and the game is easy to play, encouraging bith memory skills and language development. Tots won’t be able to play the game by themselves, which makes it a great opportunity for a family social! Little ones might not like to lose but that in itself is another opportunity to learn.
It’s fun to take on holiday and the game is compact enough to travel easily. Booster packs can be acquired when included tiles have been exhausted, which gives the game longevity.

- The pieces can be easily lost; a magnetic version of the game would be a practical improvement but otherwise and exceptional product that little ones are sure to love!

Testing Orchard Toys Shopping List
The Shopping List game very quickly became one of my daughter's favourite games. She loved having a basket and shopping trolley card to collect the items from her shopping list on. The game itself is a relatively straight forward memory game but it is still challenging for a 4 year old. It has been a great introduction to the memory game concept for her and can be played in around 10 - 15 minutes which is perfect to keep her engaged. The box is relatively small and was therefore taken on holiday with us. The pieces are relatively thick so they are easy to pick up and wont be damaged too easily. Overall I would recommend to a fellow mum.
My 4 year old daughter has really enjoyed playing this game. We have played with 2 and 4 players. The more players, the more difficult it became but that simply extends the lifetime of the game. She has enjoyed learning the concept of a memory game and it is regularly played. She has enjoyed playing the game with friends her age without adult assistance. Whilst she cannot read the names of the products on her shopping list, the clear pictures on the list and cards mean she is able to play independently.
It's a simple concept which is easy for children to understand, and the clear pictures mean those that can't yet read can still play. Relatively quick to play so keeps young children engaged, plus it relates to 'real world' shopping experiences so my daughter has used it for role play as well as the intended game.
I would suggest including a small bag to ensure all the item pieces are kept together and are less likely to get lost Price is slightly more expensive then other brands although we feel that this is a better quality product so would happily pay a little extra.
