DK’s “Chug Chug Tractor” board book is bright, colourful and interactive. The pages are tough although the flaps are thin and likely to bend with only minimal use.
Children will love the noise element initiated by doors and buttons but the pages are quite busy and the book is also deceptively short – an idea would be to create more pages that are less complicated, which would allow children to focus better. The addition of a farmer/person to the book would also be great (people are quite crucial to the running of a farm) but the animals are fun – little ones love counting the ducks and mimicking the animal sounds. Overall, it’s an interesting, innovative book that children will keep coming back to.
