Testing the Simba Baby Cot Bed Mattress

Here are some of the thoughts of our testers, when their little ones put the Simba Baby Cot Mattress to the test:

One tester commented: "I would highly recommend this mattress to anyone. The design is fantastic in that it can be used for young babies with the firm side and then turned over and the softer side used for when the child gets older. Another fab feature is the fact the cover is removable for cleaning. With it being a child’s mattress there are often times they need a thorough clean and the fact you can easily remove the cover to machine wash it is fab."

Another tester said: "The quality of product is good (obviously cannot judge if it stands up to years of use at this stage as marketed to last and transfer from baby to toddler but haven’t seen anything that would suggest this would be an issue). Zip open washable cover is a real highlight though I haven’t yet needed to wash it. Unsure if replacement covers are available as couldn’t easily find this on the website but this would be a potentially useful addition). Standard cot bed mattress size and box advises not storing on end so for storing purposes lying flat somewhere requires quite a bit of space. Overall very nice quality product with some helpful features."

One tester wrote: "I really love the Simba Baby Cot Bed Mattress. It is easy to clean and made with light weight material, which is helping us to move and store. It is a good fit in 174x42 cot. My toddler is 3 years old, he really loves this. It's a super comfortable and super soft mattress, I would recommend it. The Simba mattress has 4 different layers. The outside layer is made with very soft and comfortable material. It has a zip, which helps you to clean it easier. The second inner layer is water resistant and offers security from any leaks. Overall I would give this mattress an 8 out of 10."

Another tester commented: "It helps save money as it last for years. It has a waterproof layer which will help keep the mattress clean and without any bacteria. Hidden zippers make sure baby/toddler is safe. Sheets won’t break because of them getting stuck, the zips also ensure it's smooth and comfortable. Double sided, with one side suitable from newborn to 12 months old and the other side specific for toddlers. It fits our cot perfectly and it’s the same as having cot bed that will last longer as baby will be growing with cot bed and its mattress. It is very comfortable and I loved the logo on it, I found it really cute. The £399 is a bargain as this grows with your baby and will last you a long time. It came within four days and it was packed in hygienic plastic that did protect mattresses from packing."

One tester wrote: "We first used the Simba Baby Cot Bed Mattress when we transitioned our 2 year old into his own room. He has done amazingly well at settling into his own room and I do believe the mattress plays a big part in this. It is such a comfy mattress and perfect for little ones. My son used to regularly wake up but I’m beginning to question if maybe he just wasn’t as comfy on his previous mattress as he now sleeps so well. This, of course, makes my life a lot easier as I’m not up and down all night so not as tired the following morning."
