"I’ve had quite a few highchairs in the past and this one wins out of them all," said a thrilled tester of the hauck Alpha+. One mum told us that "it was easy to put together," and they "only needed one person," meaning it's a great choice for busy parents that might have to entertain little ones while the assembly is going on!

In terms of convenience, our testers thought this highchair was brilliant. One mum reported that "the chair has a number of different configurations depending on the age of your child," with another telling us that "he removable tray is incredibly convenient, easily clipping on and off, which simplifies meal times and clean-ups. I often remove the tray to tuck the chair neatly under the dining table, allowing my baby to join us seamlessly if we choose to put her food on the table". This versatile design will allow years and years of use.

As mentioned previously, cleaning is a breeze too. "There aren’t too many nooks and crannies for bits of food to hide, so it’s easy to wipe clean and the hygiene aspect is really good," revealed a satisfied mum. There were a few points for improvement, though - one parent said that "the only thing I would want to change is for the cushion to be a wipe-clean material. As it is currently a material cushion, any spillages get soaked into the fabric. With that said, I have found that it washes well in the washing machine, so it isn’t a big problem."

"Comfort is a key feature, as the cushion is softly padded, offering a supportive yet plush seating experience," revealed another happy parent. Along with this soft and secure seating, testers also loved the style of the seat, describing to us that "the chair adds a stylish touch to our dining room while providing a cosy seating option for our baby".

Safety is also key to a good highchair, and the hauck Alpha+ delivers in this regard too. A parent told us that "the seat belt is very secure and as you can see it easily, there is less chance of catching little hands in it". "The design feels very safe even for a young baby to sit in with its 5-point harness and a tilt proof design," claimed another mum.

Final verdict

Overall, the aesthetics, security and sturdy build of this highchair made it a firm favourite of our testing team. "The solid wood frame ensures durability and stability, built to withstand everyday use with ease, and the footprint is small enough to sit at the dining table," praised a pleased parent, and we'd have to agree that this makes the Alpha+ a great recommendation for any mums who want a stylish seating option for their little one.
