Testing the Lansinoh C-section Hydrogel Pads

I was amazed at the size of the C-section Hydrogel Pads and how comfortable it made me feel. It relaxed my muscles and the pain slowly went away. The gel pads were easy to apply, they didn’t not come off which was really good! The product itself was easy to use due to clear instructions and it did help cool the area down. The design is immaculate, perfectly shaped.

Lansinoh is a well known and reputable brand so I was keen to see what the hydrogel pads had to offer in aiding my c section recovery. The pads are hygienically sealed, very slim and discreet. They’re designed to provide a cooling and soothing effect on application and stop clothes from rubbing against the c section scar. Unfortunately, the pad irritated my scar and the whole area became highly sensitive so I’m unable to recommend.

I would recommend the C-section Hydrogel Pads to every c section mummy because the gel pad is the perfect size to cover the scar the hydrogel pads honestly speed up my recovery time I felt amazing after just a few 3 short weeks instead of the recommended 6 I was able to go out and do stuff for myself wearing it its a great design.

This was my 3rd c section and both of times I really suffered during the healing process and I felt like everything was rubbing on my incision whereas this time I had the cooling pads over my incision soo I was worried and having a baby during the summer I was extra cautious of what to wear as I didn't want to cause an infection but with the cooling pads I pooped then in the fridge and applied in the morning meaning I didn't have to stress throughout the day as they were keeping my incision safe, clean and really nice and cool. They were very easy to apply and sometimes last 72 hours which made them very durable.

Comfortable to wear. It gives a soothing feel. Makes you feel like it’s more hygienic less likely to get an infection. Which gives you peace of mind, so you can enjoy your baby, a little bit more rather than worrying too much about your scar. I would recommend this product to friends and fellow mums, as it offers reassurance about protection for your scar.

I am a new mum, my baby is a few weeks old and I had a c section. My tummy area is still sore and I am in a bit of a pain however these gel pads were really useful as they helped calm me down. They were refreshing to the body. I was expecting them to be the standard gels that fall off after a bit however these pads stayed on and lasted a very long time.

Final verdict

The Lansinoh C-Section Hydrogel Pads are super soothing for if you have had a C-section. They are a padded dressing that protects your scar from friction from your clothing and helps keep it clean, whilst providing cooling and soothing effects as it's healing. These can also be placed in the fridge for extra cooling.

They are a perfect size, thin, transparent, latex and DEHP free, so that they are not overly noticeable when wearing making them more comfortable.

Although the pads are only recommended to be worn 72 hours and are not re-applicable after. They also only come in a 2 pack, which can become quite expensive.
