How did this product make your life easier?

Diane: I love this because It is a space saver, a mini cot. As it will last longer than the standard moses basket, yet not take up the room of a full cot. Which is fabulous if you have a bigger baby like me, who is out growing everything at a rate of knots, I can use the snuz pod for longer unlike the moses basket I have used in the past . The height adjustment is fabulous too making it easier on your back, plus the reflux leg is a fab idea. I like the fact it is dual purpose you can use as a stand alone crib or attached to the side of your bed.

Milly: We used the snuzpod instead of a moses basket and felt the size was better as it is bigger and allows more room for baby. Therefore, it can be used for longer than a moses basket before transitioning into a cot. It is useful that the crib can be lifted off the stand to be used in other locations in the house. Additionally, the mattress can be inclined which would help if your baby had reflux or is blocked from a cold. It is also useful that it can be rocked to soothe the baby. Additionally, there is a handy storage shelf under the crib.

Gemma: This product really is designed to make life easier for parents, all of the features are setup just for that. I love the fact my baby can be right beside me, I love that it rocks, I love that the top can be used downstairs during the day, I love how it looks, I love that it's washable, I just love it!

Would you recommend this to other parents?

Gemma: I would definitely recommend this product to other mums, especially those who were intending to have more than one baby. It's superb quality and that is reflected in the price, so more economical if you use it for subsequent babies, though the quality means it'll last. It's really adaptable too, so would work well for most families, and adjusts well to fit different parent beds.

Diane: I would recommend this product to friends and family. The Snuzpod is excellent for that inbetween stage, when the moses basket is looking too small, but a full cot looks huge. It is a perfect mini cot. My daughter loves the extra space to kick about. It is very sturdy, I love the fact it has a drop down side, and is dual purpose, also that the sides are see through and you can see your little one. The height adjustment is a definate advantage and back saving, I also like that it is deeper than a moses basket making them feel safer, the Refux leg is also a very good idea, I just wish you could use during long sleep periods, as you are not going to want to dismantle it all the time, and most babies fall asleep after a feed, and that the mattress protection was much better.

Milly: I would recommend this product because it looks nice and has several functions. It would help with safe co-sleeping and feeding for those who choose to do that. But it can also be used as a stand alone crib if wished. I liked the fact that it has been safety tested to a high standard, fits a wide range of beds and can be put at different levels. The materials also are of good quality and the mattress and surrounding materials allow for good airflow.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Gemma: I would definitely choose this product above others available, it will last a baby a lot longer than a moses basket or crib, as it is really generous inside. I also think it is better quality and with more useful features than a lot of the other bedside cribs on the market, such as being able to take the top part downstairs for daytime naps.

Milly: I would choose this product as it is very safe, sturdy and well made. It doesn’t wobble and looks good. It is comfortable and soft with good quality materials, has good airflow and lots of room so would last for longer than a moses basket. It has many functions (different heights, incline, able to rock, stand alone crib, next to me crib, lift off bassinet) which gives more options than other similar products on the market.

Diane: I love this product and it has many advantages, and in theory it has a big chance of winning, but I do think there is room for improvement. It takes a long while to construct, the pieces could be labelled making construction easier. It is a bulky item so you are not going to want to move it round, or dismantle for travel. The reflux leg is a fab idea, but it states in manual that you cant use for long periods of sleep, so I don't believe it would be used much as you are not going to want to keep removing that bar, disturbing sleep. The mattress is also its down fall. It is not covered in a waterproof material like moses basket mattrese's, so I believe it cant be very hygienic.

What changes would you make to this product?

Milly: I would make the product more lightweight as it is very heavy so not particularly well suited to moving it around to use in different places. While the structure is solid and made of wood, I cannot carry it on my own and so it remains in the bedroom. A lighter material would increase the usability of this product.

Gemma: There is just one thing about this product that I think is missing, but by design not really possible, and that is to be able to use it for travel. We have previously used a leading competitors crib and it can be conveniently used as a travel cot, as it folds down easily and comes with a bag. This crib, being wooden, doesn't offer that feature, however it is more attractive as a piece of furniture.

Diane: The mattress is a big down fall for me. it is just a very thin piece of foam with a net cover, which is not waterproof. It can not be hygienic especially with a sicky baby, it just soaks in. Moses basket mattresses are covered in pvc waterproof coverings which are wipeable, there is nothing on the Snuz pod. You can buy extra coverings, but these do not even cover down the sides/ are not fitted and only lie on the top of the mattress. for the price you pay for a snuzpod I think the mattress quality and safety should be a lot higher consideration.
