Testing the RapidHot and RapidSterilise
RapidHot
I was really impressed with how the RapidHot machine looked compared to other machines we’d seen on the market. It’s a really sleek design that almost looks like a coffee machine, meaning it looks great on your kitchen counter.
The set-up of the RapidHot was so easy, you simply pop in the filter, fill the back with water and it’s good to go. It has a clever memory function so that it remembers the last feed size, making those nighttime feeds easier and taking a lot of the guesswork out of measuring. It also filters the water, to remove any impurities.
After hearing a fair bit about prep machines such as the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep, I was unsure about how practical this could be at making bottles but the RapidHot really impressed me! It really did make bottle preparation quicker and hassle-free, especially during late-night feeds. It's relatively quiet too, and it can make a bottle in just two minutes.
The machine is easy to use, which is a huge win when trying to claw back some hours of sleep. I actually use this to make my own hot drinks, so I ended up being able to drink a warm drink pretty much straight away, which as a new parent, is a huge win. I really think this might be my favourite item as a parent.
RapidSterilise
The steriliser is easy to attach onto the RapidCool and even bottles, and it feels like an absolute game-changer for cleaning at home and on the go. We have a big steriliser which we love, but it’s not so convenient when we are out visiting family and we have to really plan what we take. But the RapidSterilise takes away that stress as it can be used on the go.
The Nuby RapidSterilise really came to save the day too. It means that I can use my RapidCool on the go, give it a quick wash and sterilise whilst out and about.
I loved the fact that it can sterilise fast and doesn’t use any chemicals at all. One downside was the cleaning process, particularly with the Nuby RapidSterilise UV Steriliser. While it works well and sterilises bottles quickly, it can be a bit tricky to clean thoroughly, as it can’t be submerged in water. But otherwise it’s such a handy device.
Final verdict
The RapidHot and Sterilise are game-changers for busy parents. The RapidHot makes making bottles so much quicker and easier, with the added convenience of being able to make your own hot drinks from it too! I also think the RapidSterilise is a great little device. It’s quick and small enough to be taken on the go and it's really handy having a portable sterilisation solution at hand.
Both products are really good value for money and definitely worth purchasing – especially if you’re going to get the RapidCool as well.
