What should I dress my toddler in autumn?

When the weather turns cold, the golden rule to follow when dressing your tot is to dress yourself and then dress them similarly, but add an extra layer added before heading outdoors. For example, if you've got a thick coat on, you might also want to add a blanket and hat and gloves to your baby for extra warmth. For extra cold weather, pram suits for babies are a great idea for keeping them nice and warm in the cold.

As well as warm outerwear when heading outdoors, it's a good idea to dress your little one in layers that you can easily take off or add depending on where you're going.

What should baby wear outside in autumn?

Before you head outdoors anywhere with your little one, it's a good idea to check the weather and also be prepared. After all, you can never really predict the British weather, so we'd recommend packing a waterproof coat, a wooly hat and gloves during the autumn months.

When it comes to footwear, if your tot is walking, opt for a pair of waterproof boots or toddler wellies in case they step in a puddle. It's also a good idea to pack an extra pair of socks.
