The BaBaBing Float Bouncer is marketed as a budget-friendly baby bouncer with the very appealing selling point of being designed to seamlessly blend into your home. But how does it actually stack up to use in the home?

Testing the BabaBing! Float Baby Bouncer

The assembly of this bouncer requires a screwdriver, and in my case, a second pair of hands was helpful. While the instructions could be clearer, it didn’t take long for my husband to figure things out, and the actual assembly was fairly quick - a definite plus.

The BaBaBing Float Bouncer leans on the neutral side, but in a good way. The Elephant Print design is stylish and versatile, making it a lovely addition to most home interiors. Its gender-neutral pattern is especially practical for families planning to use it for multiple children. The soft, calming colour palette is perfect for newborns - gentle and soothing without being visually overwhelming.

For slightly older babies, the bouncer may feel a little basic in terms of stimulation. The toy bar includes two simple elephant toys - one rattles and the other squeaks when squeezed. There is, however, the option to attach additional toys, which adds some flexibility, though it does depend on having compatible ones available. Compared to other models at a similar price point, it lacks some of the added features like vibrations, sounds, or lights that can enhance engagement.

One of this bouncer’s best features is its incredibly lightweight frame - just 1kg - making it super easy to move from room to room. The non-slip base adds peace of mind, especially on hard floors. The frame feels robust enough, but I did notice the detachable toy bar comes off a bit too easily, which could be an issue in homes with curious toddlers around.

Comfort-wise, the seat is roomy, though the minimal padding may not be ideal for longer naps. While it's technically suitable from birth to 9 kg (roughly 6 months), I feel newborns might need a little extra head support to sit safely and comfortably. The 3-point harness does the job, though the clips are a bit fiddly, as they’re tucked inside the fabric.

On a positive note, the fabric is both wipe-clean and easily removable for machine washing in one piece - a real highlight that sets this bouncer apart from others I’ve used.

Final verdict

Overall, considering its price of £40.00, I don’t believe the BaBaBing Float Bouncer offers the best value compared to other baby bouncers on the market. It has some great features, but struggles to make an impression in an already crowded market, and there are better baby bouncers out there for the price.
