Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend this product as a good quality and appealing wooden toy. The Kiddimoto London Bus comes ready built which is perfect as the children were desperate to play with it immediately and waiting for a parent to put a new toy together is often very difficult for little people! This bus has been a great hit in our home, both with our 2 year old but also our 4 year old.

How did this product make your life easier?

The fact that there was no building of the toy needed definitely makes the product easier to use. The bus came packaged compactly and the bus is not bulky in design meaning that storing it in the home is not difficult or awkward. This provides my son with endless fun which makes my life easier as I can get on with what I need to do whilst he is happily entertained.

What changes would you make to this product?

This product is great, there is nothing I feel I would change. I would love to see other similar products in the same range as I feel these would be equally popular and if these do not exist I recommend Kiddimoto look into this! Sports car, scooter, recycling truck, digger, tractor. Any quality wooden toy in this design would be great.

The Kiddimoto London Bus is a lovely, well made, beautifully designed ride along toy. It came all pre built, literally just took it out of the box ready to use. Can't fault the workmanship of the build, it works well on carpet, tiles and wood floor (not so much outside but it's so nice I don't think I'd want it as an outside toy!) My little one found it very easy to both push and ride on, just the right size.

How did this product make your life easier?

It keeps my little girl, and her friends when they are over, very busy and occupied for long spells. The little magnetic flap at the back so that you can store things inside is her favourite part, as she can put her little people in and take them for a ride. They also like to push each other or chase each other!

The design of this product is very unique, being a London bus it's very cute and leaves so much open to the imagination. Being made of wood as well it makes a change to all the plastic. It is definitely the most played with toy in our house to date.

What changes would you make to this product?

There's no steering to the bus, so does make it a little difficult to turn or go round corners both when riding on it and when pushing it. My little girl found it difficult to use her feet to turn it, how it would be incorporated though I don't know, maybe if there was a small steering wheel that just turned the front wheels?

The Kiddimoto London Bus is a really sturdy toy. It is made of strong wood and the red paint finish on it is of a very high quality. It is a simple design and but still has little details and finishing touches on it. It is a good height for little ones to use to pull themselves up on and a sturdy rail to hold on to when they are walking. It is also a good height for older children to sit on and scoot along with their feet on the floor. It doesn't tip easily even when being used to pull themselves up on. Great quality.

How did this product make your life easier?

This toy is brilliant for safety. I have no concerns that my little one will accidentally tip this up on her when she is pulling herself up on it. For an older child using it as a ride on toy the wheels go really smoothly on the floor and it is narrow enough to be able to steer easily. The lift up flap at the back keeps my daughter entertained for ages while she puts her various toys/figures/teddies in the bus before pushing them around for a ride. It also creates a nice surface off the floor for her to play on.

This is the kind of toy that will keep for years and be used for a long period of time. Initially the use of allowing something sturdy for a child to start to pull themselves up on, then as a walker and finally as a ride along. It is even great for pretend play as it has space to put toys on the bus so they can go for a ride. My daughter likes us to push her along on it too and sing wheels on the bus. It is an attractive design that doesn't look out of place being left out in a room.

What changes would you make to this product?

The lift up flap at the back of the bus can be a little bit of a 'trapped fingers' risk when it flaps back down. It also makes a loud noise. Maybe a sponge or rubber stopper on it to prevent the bang might be a good idea. Or maybe if the bus opened from the side or had a 'door' style opening that didn't suddenly 'flap' closed that could solve the issue. It is only a minor issue though and my daughter hasn't trapped her fingers in it. She does enjoy being able to open the bus to put her toys in it.

I would recommend this fabulous red London bus to anyone with a child! My two year old loved whizzing along singing the wheels on the bus! Very strong build, lovely design classic red colour - any child, bus mad or not would love to receive this great transport toy! Would think it would last for years.

How did this product make your life easier?

Knowing your child has an excellently made and designed toy, not some cheap plastic thing makes you reassured it safe and the quality will last so makes it value for money in the long run. It may cost more initially but works out is really worth it for a classy classic iconic toy. Anything to keep little one occupied!

This wonderful bus toy stands out head and shoulders above other toys, it's well made, looks great and most importantly....fun!! Not only does it make a great ride on toy for the older children it creates a really brilliant steady walker for unsteady little ones. I also loved the fact it came assembled!!

What changes would you make to this product?

I find it very hard to pick something to criticise about this toy as it is excellent quality and well made. At a push the screws maybe could be less visible or painted during assembly so they were less noticeable. Maybe could be slightly larger so child could fit in it for longer for value and enjoyablily!

This is a lovely high quality product which looks great in the home. The bus is bright and colourful and immediately appealed to my youngster who couldn't wait to get it out the box. It comes ready built so no assembly required. The large seat fits any toddler and the storage underneath is perfect for toys that want to go along for the ride.

How did this product make your life easier?

It's a stylish product that my little boy enjoys playing with. It doesn't hold his attention for too long though and I have to keep a close eye on him whilst playing with it as he likes to try to stand on the main seat part which is obviously dangerous. I like storing his cars in it so they are tidy and out if the way.

Would you choose this product to win?

I do love it aesthetically but there are similar products available that do the same thing and I don't think this stands out uniquely from the crowd. It also has quite a limited life span as little one will quickly out grow of it and it's an expensive product for such a short period of time.

What changes would you make to this product?

The back of the bus has a hatch which opens and closes to get the toys in and out. I feel that this hatch closes too quickly and loosely. My little man has caught his fingers a few times on it. I would prefer a stiffer hinge so it opened and closed smoother and more slowly to help save his little fingers.

Tested by Jennifer Barclay, from Edinburgh, mum to Alexander, 12 months. She said:

This is quite expensive for a single-purpose toy, and the others might represent better value. Having said that, it looks stylish in the lounge and is ready for play straight out of the box – no hunting for the screwdriver. The seat is quite high, which leaves Alexander’s legs dangling, but he loves playing with this.

Tested by Dita Pritchard, from Bath, mum to Alex, 15 months. She said:

Alex loves the storage area – perfect for anything he doesn’t want Mum and Dad to know he has – but he found this difficult to manoeuvre. The low wheel base makes it tricky to use on uneven surfaces. However, there’s no assembly required and it’s quiet, too! It’s a traditional, wooden toy that looks stylish in the playroom.

Tested by Harriet Long, from Belfast, mum to Joseph, 21 months. She said:

A perfect Christmas present, as it’s instantly ready for play. For fans of wooden toys, it’s a nice option, but for ride-on purposes it’s quite slow and heavy on our wooden floor. But Joseph loved the flap that closes with a satisfying ‘click’ and spent ages putting his cars inside. A solid, well-made toy.
