At a glance:

Our panel of mum testers loved this smooth silicone teether, which aims to relieve even the sorest of teething gums! Designed to be appealing to your tot, and held from all sorts of angles, we love that this teether can be easily washed and sterilised.

What they say:

“You’ve seen Charlie do it on YouTube, your little niece, the neighbour’s infant boy, and no doubt your own little ones…  Babies love biting fingers! So we thought, why reinvent the wheel? Our teether is designed to mimic those little baby fingers and are made with hygienic silicone material that’s safe, and oh so perfectly chewy. Quite simply, they’re made to give you hours of silent bliss.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would highly recommend this product, and already have to many of my friends! The design of the teether is simple, easy to transport and really easy to clean. My little boy loves to play with this teether and always prefers this one to the many others that he already has. There is also no need to chill the teether, like others suggest, which is great.

How did this product make your life easier?

Before finding this one, my son hadn’t been using plastic teethers very well and always preferred a fluffy toy or muslin, which meant he constantly had fluff in his mouth. However, he used this teether instantly, and the smooth silicone surface really seemed to be a big relief on his teething gums. It is quite small, which has been great when going out and about.

Would you choose this product to win?

Yes, without a doubt! I would love for this product to win, as my little boy can’t get enough of it. There is nothing that I don't like about the product. The packaging explained that the design is to mimic a baby’s fingers, which I think it does perfectly. My little boy often sucks his fingers, but this has helped stop him doing so too often, and also soothes his gums at the same time.

What changes would you make to the product?

If I really had to suggest anything, it would be to increase and vary the choice of colours, and to possibly include a strap to attach the teether to the baby - like with dummies - so that they can't throw it on the floor!

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend to this other mums – it’s so easy to use. The design is great, and my children can hold it from all sorts of angles. It's easily washed and sterilised, and is also appealing and attractive enough that my child reaches out for it whenever he sees it. It looks different and stands out from other designs, which is nice.

How did this product make your life easier?

You don't have to worry about putting it in the fridge or the freezer, meaning it gives my child instant relief when wanting something to chomp on! It's also a safe product that my child can hold himself unlike ones you can buy for the fridge, as they often become slippery and wet, and are harder for him to hold as a result.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose this teether above all others. It's different with a fun, noticeable and quirky design, and the soft silicone provides just the right amount of solidity for my child to chew on, meaning I don't have to worry that he is going to hurt his gums while he’s chomping away. It's really easy to clean, and the ease of grip my child can get on it is great.

What changes would you make to this product?

Offering it in a wider variety of colours would be useful, as it would help you differentiate between which are clean and which are to be washed. A case, or something like you get for a teat on a dummy, would also be really handy. I like to know that whatever my child is putting in their mouth is clean and safe, so a case would help keep it fluff free when we’re on the move.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I love the idea behind the design of this product. My son is always chewing on his fingers, so having a teether that replicates this sensation is great. We have tried lots of teethers over the past few months and this is the first one my son took to straight away. The lightweight design and circular section is great for small hands to hold, and the soft material is very tactile in both his hands and mouth.

How did this product make your life easier?

The lightweight design and small rounded curves allow my son to easily maintain his grip, so holding onto the item doesn’t become an added distraction, meaning he can concentrate on the important task of chewing away the teething pains! As the entire item uses the same material, baby can chew any part and get the same sensation. The little finger parts do mirror the size and width of actual baby fingers, which seems to satisfy, and they are short enough that there’s no need to worry about gagging. While it’s easy to clean with soap and water, it cannot be sterilised, which for smaller babies may be an issue.

Would you choose this product to win?

This product has a really well thought out design compared to a lot of other teethers on the market. My son accepted it easily without losing interest as quickly as other teethers, and he still picks it out amongst his other toys occasionally to have a quick nibble before getting back to play.

What changes would you make to the product?

Due to the silicone material, the product easily collected pet hairs, lint and dust that was on the floor and did require a lot of cleaning. That said, changing the material completely would take away the unique feel of this product. The cost is a little high given the simple design, and it would be better and more attractive to little eyes if it had more colours or patterns. Something simple like resembling an octopus would add fun to the product, keeping the babies attention for even longer, and add an additional sensory experience for baby.

Tested by mum Jennifer Moy for the Mother & Baby Awards 2018:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Definitely! Its simple design allows the baby to easily maintain their grip, and as such allows them sufficient amount of time to chew and work out their teething frustrations. All parts are made of the same material, so no matter which part the baby is holding; they can bite easily and enjoyably. The little-finger parts mirror the size and width of an actual baby’s fingers, giving a similar experience and alternative to biting their own. It is also really easy to clean.

How did this product make your life easier?

This is a very good teether. The lightweight design and circular handles are easy for the baby to grip, especially compared to other products of this type. It's not a complete replacement for the typical hand in mouth solution, as the fingers were reverted back to eventually, but it did entertain my baby for longer than the other products of this nature that I had purchased before.

Would you choose this product to win?

It has a unique design compared to others, and my baby took to it easily without losing interest. The cost is very reasonable and I would definitely choose this teether over some of the more expensive options available that haven't always lived up to their expectation or price tag.

What changes would you make to this product?

I found that it easily collected lint and dust when the product was dropped on the floor, and required a lot more cleaning as a result. Whilst it would be good if this could be addressed, I feel changing the material would take away the unique feel of this product that makes it so appealing for little hands and mouths.
