

Sioned Hilton, IBCLC, RGN, RSCN, BSc
Sioned Hilton has over 25 years’ experience working with mums across the UK as a Health Visitor and Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, and trained as a paediatric and general nurse, completing her nurse training at Liverpool Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and working at Liverpool Women’s Tertiary NICU and Southport and Ormskirk Hospital Neonatal Unit. She also has a BSc in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing and accreditation as a registered International Certified Lactation Consultant.

Sioned further enhanced her expertise in Lactation Science and Breastfeeding Support, qualifying and practicing as an International Certified Lactation Consultant for 19 years.
Sioned has been the Lactation Consultant and Education Manager for Medela since 2007. She has an active role in supporting breastfeeding and expressing mothers in both hospital and at home, and supports training programs for both healthcare professionals and retailers.
In February 2020, she joined the Medela Global Medical Affairs and Education, where the focus of her education efforts is to share the scientific understanding of lactation, specifically the critical interventions in the first hours, days and weeks after birth with mothers who may be at-risk of lactation and breastfeeding challenges.
