Testing the Little Dish Fresh Kids Meals

If you have trouble encouraging your tot to eat all their veggies, these might be just the meals you're looking for. Our parent testers found their little ones were big fans of these tasty meals, and they were happy to try new flavours.

"We had a great experience with these meals. My daughter (nearly 3) is very fussy when it comes to vegetables and meat but she does love pasta and chilli etc normally but these were great because had loads of hidden veg and the chicken in them was lovely and soft so I just mashed it up a bit and most of the time she didn’t notice she was eating chicken."

Portion sizes were also a big bonus for our testers. They found it to be just enough for small tummies.

"They were a good size for her and we normally put half out first for her and when she was finished she would eat the rest or as much as she wanted from the other half. The pasta ones were definitely her favourite."

Testers also loved the wide selection of meals available, and although they found not all of them were available in their local supermarket, they were impressed with the different flavours.

One mum said, "There was good a selection of meals including a chicken korma, fish pie and spaghetti and meatballs. The packaging was appealing and advertised nutritional characteristics that you want to see in baby food - low salt, inclusion of veg, natural ingredients."

The number one thing our testers loved was how quick and easy these meals were to prepare. Simply pop them in the microwave for a few minutes and voila – you have your meal.

One of our parent testers said, "Such a great product to use, you can pack it and take it away with you anywhere. The food comes in small packages which fit everywhere, it can be used as to-go food or when you just can’t be bothered to cook at home – this is your must-have product! It saves so much hassle on a busy day when you just don’t have time to cook and the other great thing about it is the choice of various food it comes with! All healthy for our little buds! I love the variety of the selections of foods, from bolognese to fish pie. Lots of veggie options too for those who do not eat meat. Little Dish cater for all needs."

Final thoughts

These meals are great for those evenings when you are short on time. And you can rest assured, your little one is getting a nutritional and well-balanced meal in a matter of minutes.

Although these meals have a higher price point than others, our parents loved the different variety of meals available and how healthy they all were, and their children loved them too!
