I loved these meals, they offer a speedy, convenient, wholesome solution to busy mums so you are never caught out without a nutritious meal for your little one. Being able to microwave the meal in less than five minutes is great. The bonus in being frozen is that not only are the nutrients locked in, but also I am not worried about buying chilled meals and having to use them before the use by dates. I can have a selection of these in my freezer for days when I am genuinely caught out. The vegetable pieces mean I can see what goodness is in the meals. which is the way I personally cook myself as I like my child to identify vegetables so this really is like one of my own home cooked meals. There are no hidden ingredients, providing me with the reassurance it was all natural and my child was getting some of their five a day. On busy days this product gives a genuine alternative to home cooking. The fact the meat is UK farm assured and the fish is from a sustainable source is reassuring.

How did this product make your life easier?

As a full time working mum I don't always have time to prepare fresh meals for my toddler. These cook from frozen meals provide a real fail safe, convenient alternative to me at any time, guilt free! It gives me confidence that I always have something good for my toddler to put on the table even if I am having a busy day and have no meal planned. The recipes are thought through to encourage independent eaters by having small pieces of pasta for example.

The long shelf life in the freezer is the big win for me as is the overall quality of the meals. Having tasted these myself they really represented what a home cooked meal would look like in my household which was wonderful for me as it offered me a genuine meal solution on busy days. I just loved the fact I can save on washing up as well by just using the eco friendly trays to serve should I wish to. The packaging is eco friendly and recyclable which is great it all just goes straight into the recycling bag and I am guilt free. I will be a regular purchaser of these meals and always ensure now that I have a selection of these meals in my freezer to hand, that is how much I loved the product! The packaging is super with brilliant clear labelling which it makes it very easy to see what is in the meal and what exactly I am serving up, this gives me confidence as a mum.

What changes would you make to this product?

If I was purchasing for a child at age one I think most of this meal would go to waste as it provides an appropriate meal for a size for a 2-4 year old I would believe but for younger children there may be product wastage. A real solution for younger children aged from 1-2 would be a "snap pack" of two meals in one. This would allow less wastage and value for mums who have children who aren't likely to eat all of the quantity in the meal. This would more than likely mean plastic packaging however but if you could buy smaller portions representing value for younger children this would present great value and be extremely useful.

These meals are in a compact packaging so don't take up much room in your freezer. The meal itself is in a little cardboard tray which is rigid enough for your child to eat straight from & also doesn't get as hot as a plastic tray. The meals tasted nice & home cooked. They're so easy to cook & store which is why I would recommend them.

How did this product make your life easier?

On occasion when you don't have time to prepare a home cooked meal, these are a fantastic substitute. Unlike other toddler meals I have bought, these meals come frozen which means you can leave a few in the freezer for emergencies, without worrying too much about use by dates. They're packed quite small so don't take up a lot of room.

They're easy to store, easy to cook & also the freezing 'locks in' the freshness so I didn't feel bad about giving my child a ready meal. They were all made with natural ingredients & there weren't any nasties contained. Always reassuring when feeding your children as no one likes their child to eat processed food if it can be helped.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend Kiddyum frozen meals to a fellow mum because they are a fantastic time saver! These ready meals are just made for mums like me who have little time to cook healthy and nutritional meals but want the best for their little ones. They are so easy to prepare and are something a bit different from the normal jars and sachets.

How did this product make your life easier?

Kiddyum frozen meals saved me so much time and faff. There were five different meals to choose from and I found giving my eldest the choice of what she'd like for dinner made for a much peaceful mealtime. I cooked hers while I was preparing our own dinner so it meant she was already eating hers when we were sitting down to ours.

They were created by another mum so I trust that she would want the very best for her children as I would want for mine. Also I sampled the meals and they were very tasty!

What changes would you make to this product?

The one thing I would change about the product is to bring out more different meals. I have a fussy eater and I found she really liked the two pasta meals but wasn't so fussed on the cottage pie. Also if it would be possible to start producing a range of purées for weaning as having them already frozen would be appreciated.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend Kiddyum meals to friends with young children. They are perfect for a quick, healthy meal. Even though there's only a small amount to choose from we have stocked up and they are our fall back for a quick tea. It's reassuring to know as well that they are made from natural ingredients, so even though they are a convenient meal, they are healthy.

How did this product make your life easier?

These meals have made evening/lunchtimes so much easier when my little boy needs to eat separately from us. A quick five minutes and his healthy and nutritious meal is ready, all I do is add a floret of broccoli and he's good to go. They aren't packaged too big either, meaning they fit in the freezer perfectly.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose these meals over any other frozen meals - the packaging/branding is eye catching and fun and the meals are made from natural ingredients. Even though there's a small amount of choice in the different meals there's a good range. I'm not a fish water but my little boy loves the fish and veg pie - something I would never make! I also love that if you want to know the recipe you can email Jayne and she'll send you it! A great, friendly company!

What changes would you make to this product?

Some more meal choices would be great! My little boy loves all of them so far and I'm sure he would like to try some more! Also, Sainsburys are the only stockists. I don't shop in Sainsburys and the one where I live is the other side of town. It would be handy for a couple more supermarkets to also sell these great meals!
