With the ASDA Little Angels Flip Top Beaker, you can give your little one the independence of drinking (although never let them use this without your supervision) through an easy-to-understand straw and handle. There is no doubt that baby products get their fair share of bumps, wear, and tears, but this supermarket own straw beaker is as durable as similar, branded sippy cups and bottles - and at a great price too.

Testing the ASDA Little Angels Flip Top Beaker

The beaker was a big hit with our parent testers, especially for the price it retails at. "The product is a great price and has been very durable and long-lasting despite regular use every day," said one mum, going on to tell us that "I would really recommend this product to other parents". Another told us "I would definitely buy more of these for our baby and for my 6-year-old too."
"The product was very easy to use and was appealing visually, I enjoyed the vivid colours as did my child. He found the product easy to grasp and had no trouble understanding how to get water out of the bottle," reported a pleased parent. The design is very intuitive for young ones, with plenty of parents commenting on the ease with which their children could grab the beaker. One mum told us, "I have just started trying to transition my son to a straw beaker. He usually has a cup with handles so it took a while for him to get used to holding this but when he did, he loved it. I really liked that it had a little handle on the lid so he could easily carry it around with him."

Another tester told us: "I was worried that my 8-month-old wouldn't know how to drink from it, but he got it straight away. It's far easier for him to drink by himself than one that needs to be lifted to drink". Kids of all ages seemed to get on well with the beaker. "It's really lightweight and easy to clean, with a nice handle at the top that helps younger babies to hold it and also enables older children to carry the beaker around," said a happy mum, stating that it was "not too big or too small - the perfect size."
"The product is easy to clean and retained its integrity and colour through plenty of washes," said one tester commenting on the upkeep of the beaker. Another agreed with their assessment, telling us that "it’s easy to wash as it breaks up into three pieces, which makes washing easier. It’s dishwasher safe which is a plus."

Parents were also pleased with the durability of the beaker - one mum reported that "they’re quite robust; my daughter is just getting to know what gravity is, so is constantly throwing them and they haven’t broken once". A different tester confirmed this, saying that "they have been thrown about and kept in bags, and they are still going strong". It's always reassuring to know that the product can withstand rough play.
Final verdict
Overall, the beaker really impressed. Particular praise was given to the capacity, with one tester saying, "I like the fact that it’s 420ml as this seemed to have a higher capacity than some of the other beakers aimed at the younger child. It seems strong and fits nicely onto my children’s cup holder on both the changing bag and pushchair." If you want a durable, intuitive and budget-friendly beaker, then the ASDA Little Angels Flip Top Beaker could be right for you.
