Aldi's Mamia range also has Organic Food Pouches for the rest of the day if you loved the Breakfast range! With bright colours and a range of different foods and flavour, these nicely sized pouches are a great snack for your little ones throughout the day and the price is excellent.

How did this product make your life easier?

Jenny: Using this product has made feeding my baby on the go much easier. It is not only more convenient but great value for money. The range uses organic ingredients and doesn’t have any added sugar. I have been very impressed and will definitely continue to use them. In my opinion, they are as good as if not better than other more well-known brands.

Amy: These food pouches are convenient to use when not had time to make anything. The stage 2 pouches can be resealed with the screw on lid and kept in the fridge for 24 hours. This I find helpful as often all of the pouch is not used in one go. The packaging is a nice size too which could easily slip in your bag when going out.

Paula: I can put a couple in my bag and leave them until I need them. They have a really good sell-by date on them and they are brilliant if you get caught short. They are perfect as on the go meals and brilliant for adding a variety to any childs mealtimes. If you get the chance to warm them up is a bonus but isn’t necessary as they can drink it straight from the pouch. Other brands say they have to be refrigerated and used within 24-hrs but the Mamia pouches must be used within two days of opening. It is brilliant if your child is a little fussy as you can use whats left on a different so mealtimes are never the same and nothing is wasted which makes it more value for money.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Sophie: I would most definitely recommend this product to fellow parents. The pouches are a good value for money and a great grab and go when you are heading out or haven't had enough time to prep a home-cooked meal for your child. The design enables easy feeding onto a spoon or into a bowl and this, in turn, reduces the time take to get it ready for your little one. Overall the flavours are good and my little one seems to enjoy them which makes meal time easier all round.

Eleanor: There is a wide variety of pouches that are available to buy from breakfast dinner and tea. The pouches are easy to use and can be used as part of the weaning process with your baby. The pouches are easy to use, easy to store and can be used straight away from the packet. This is perfect for babies who want to have their food quickly and without a lot of fuss. The pouches are all organic and the ingredients they use are all reasons for the price.

Paula: I was a little apprehensive about using these as I normally make my own and freeze them. I have always bought the fruit pouches but never the Aldi ones. I love that they are organic so I know it is free from all chemicals. These have gone down a treat with my little one; he loves both the food and the puree ones. They are the perfect size to fit in my bag so I can take them out and about. They can be given to promote independence or a spoon can be screwed onto the cap for smaller babies. They are colourful and easy to establish which one is a meal and which is a puree.

Would you choose this product to win?

Amy: The 4 months+ pouches are freezable. I have not noticed this on other pouches which I think is unique. This could come in handy with a teething baby as when starting to defrost could be comforting to little gums. I liked the stage 2 pouches as the food looked nice in appearance and you could see these different ingredients. The stage 2 pouches are very competitively priced. However, I probably wouldn't choose the 4 months+ pouches due to the colour/appearance which was too runny and looked artificial. As mentioned though, I do like the fact they are freezable which could come in handy in certain situations.

Sarah: Generally, we try to make as much food for the main meal times but also on the go from scratch. But the convenience of these pouches, not least the design, cost and variations of flavour, would mean that I wouldn’t hesitate in giving her these pouches. Based on the competition with others on the market, I’m confident in these pouches based on how well our daughter has taken to them.

Sophie: I really like this product, and seemingly so does my little boy. I think this product is a winner as the value for money per pouch is really good as compared to other brands I have given my little boy. The various flavours mean that there is something to suit most people and it means you can give variety in an affordable and easy to use pouch system.

What changes would you make to this product?

Jenny: I think the packaging is quite basic. It contains all of the essential information needed but the images aren’t particularly exciting or eye catching. What’s inside the packets are great but compared to other pouches on the market I feel the packaging and colours could be a little more exciting and different cartoon images used.

Paula: I would like to see a bigger and better variety. I have been to my local Aldi and I can only see puree fruits for weaning. I would like to see puree meals as well as fruits. For the older child I would like to see better variety of meals and more deserts. some babies like to have the pouch and eat it themselves, I do find that the pouches can be a little rough around the edges. sometimes my baby shoves the pouch in his mouth but very quickly pulls it away as he has just caught himself.

Sophie: In the current climate where we should all be trying to reduce waste and recycle as much as possible, the one frustration I did feel was that the pouches are not widely recycled at the moment. I think it would be great if it was possible to find a material that was more environmentally friendly and recyclable for the pouch.
