From it's easy steering to how simple it was to fold, parents loved this trike as a brilliant travel companion.

One mum said, "This is hands down the best trike I have owed. It is so quick and easy to fold and unfold and is very practical to take out with you on holiday or for a day trip because it folds down so small. My child loved this trike as she was able to hold on to the handlebars and pretend she was driving it even though I was steering. It is super easy to steer and is just like pushing a pushchair. Very sturdy wheels which makes getting up and down kerbs very easy."

Not only did our grown-up testers love this trike, our little testers loved it too.

"My son is nearly 2 and we have been using the bike for a few months. As soon as he saw it he wanted to hop on & be pushed around the lounge, it was a joy! We have used it mainly as a pram alternative for short trips, but are too much for him to walk. He is too young to use it as a trike yet but he holds the handles and pretends to steer, so I think we would begin to take it to the park/use in the garden when he can use it by himself. We did have one incident where he had his foot on the wheel rather than resting and he hurt himself on it - but other than that he's really enjoyed being pushed around - and a bit more grown up than a pram."

Parents were also very impressed with the sturdy and durable material this was made from, and loved the extra features like the sun canopy.

"It would never have occurred to me to get a trike so young for my 10 month old, and I am so glad we were sent the Doona Liki Trike to test as it has been a resounding success. It was pretty much ready to use straight out the box, and immediately I was impressed with the high quality of the materials used and the smooth glide of the mechanisms. There are 4 different configurations you can use the trike in depending on the age of your child. My 10 month old is at the minimum end of the age range and so she used the footrests while I pushed and steered her using the parent handle. She was delighted to be in the trike and seemed to find it much more fun than being in her stroller. There is an integrated canopy to provide shade from the sunshine. When we took it to the park one day I overheard at least 2 toddlers asking their parents about it!"

One feature parents would have loved to see was a little storage basket or even just a drinks holder.

"I would love if this product could come with a basket or bag already attached rather than an add on. I know you can add these on but that's the only thing which could make this better, as I think this is a fantastic trike and great value for money. I would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to purchase a trike."

Final thoughts

This trike was a brilliant travel companion for our little testers and their parents. It folds up very compact and fits in even the smallest car boots.

They loved how this trike really grew with their child, and it was suitable for them over a range of their developmental stages.

Although there were a few things parents would change including storage and suspension, they loved the steering and how sturdy it felt.
