At a glance:

These Burts Bees products are free from phthalates, parabens, petrolatum and SLS, and are beautiful on your baby’s skin. The Baby Bee Multipurpose Ointment is a standout product for us, with multiple uses making it cost and space effective.

What they say:

“Soften and soothe baby’s skin with these rich, moisturising formulas made from natural ingredients. For example, Baby Bee Multipurpose Ointment and Burt's Bees Baby® Natural Baby Nourishing Oil.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this product to another mum because it has a lovely smell, it’s very gentle and soothing for babies and I feel that it is better than any other product I have tried. Baby Bees products have helped my baby's dry skin a lot, making it feel gentle and smooth. Overall I think it is a very good product.

How did this product make your life easier?

The Baby Bee products have really helped my baby's skin as he has really dry skin and cradle cap, plus it's also helped his nappy rash. The baby Bees nappy ointment had soothed his rash and is making him a happier baby, which is reassuring and is giving me a lot more time to get on with my daily tasks like housework!

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose this product because I prefer it to any other brand. Baby Bees products smell better, are a lot gentler and comfort my baby more than any other product I have used so far. The product is a fair and decent price for what you’re getting and well worth the money. I would definitely choose this product over any other.

What changes would you make to this product?

The one thing I would change about the Baby Bees products is the design or logo. Not many people know about Baby Bees, so perhaps changing the logo or the design would make the product more eye catching?

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend this product range to other mums because I liked the fact it is free from phthalates, parabens, petrolatum and SLS. The products state that they do not cause irritation or drying to the skin, as well as being hypo-allergenic. I can safely say, in my opinion and as someone who suffers from sensitive skin, that these products have actually left my babies skin feeling lovely and soft and have not caused irritation. The only factor I had to overcome is the scent, if you like the smell of honey then you will fall in love with these products, but this is something that has grown on me since using it.

How did this product make your life easier?

One of the products I was able test within the Burt's Bees baby product range was the nourishing lotion. This product is so easy to apply, nice consistency and not too thin like some lotions I have used in the past. I also enjoyed using the baby shampoo and wash, as it made life so much easier being able to wash baby from top to toe with an all in one option. It also lathers really well and is tear-free, which means no tantrums due to stinging eyes.

Would you choose this product to win?

When I first received the products and started using them, I would not have chosen to buy and use them above others. Now after testing the range, I would definitely choose them above other brands. The products are easy to use, and the scent is actually quite nice and leaves baby smelling clean and fresh. The pricing of the products is on the mid to higher side, but they do seem to last quite a while as a little goes a long way.

What changes would you make to this product?

I don't think there is anything to change about the products that I have had the privilege to test. The packaging is bright, attractive, to the point and stands out on the shelf. Maybe the price is a little more on the expensive side, but for something that is kind (paraben free), moisturising and does not dry or irritate my baby's skin, I would actually pay that little bit extra. Overall, Burt's Bees Baby range is a lovely addition to my baby's bath routine.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Absolutely and we already have! It has left both my twins' skin feeling soft and helped reduce rashes associated with nappy rash and dribbling. We have both also used this on our own hands and its very effective. The bottles aren't particularly easy to transport but we would use the travel sizes for this. The smell is so lovely and not overpowering. The twins seem to like the taste as well! We were happy with the fact that it is (almost) completely natural, which meant we could trust it with precious skin.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product makes life easier because it is gentle on their skin and effective at cleaning so it takes the worry of using products on their skin away. It’s easy to dispense which with twins is really important! The body wash/shampoo is so easy to rinse and when it has gotten into eyes has not caused any upset or irritation making bath time quick and stress free.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would consider it a serious contender and would definitely choose it over some leading brands. However, due to the fact that we have twins, I would be concerned about how often we would need to replace it as we have got through it quite quickly. The bubble bath needs quite a bit of to and fro to work and the shampoo/wash is quite runny, so we have got through nearly a bottle in less than two weeks.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would change the consistency and maybe change the shampoo/wash to a pump bottle as opposed to the pop lid it has. I would also change the size of the bubble bath so it would last a little longer. Otherwise I would say that the products are very good and packaged well with a design relevant to the product it contains.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

All of the Baby Bee products were lovely to use. I liked the fact that they are made from natural products. The scent of the products such as the bubble bath and wash were lovely and several people commented on how nice my baby smelt! The creams were all lovely and easily absorbed and have a generous amount in each tub or tube so the product lasts for a long time. I was particularly impressed with the multipurpose ointment which I used on my daughters face and it helped to clear away some dry skin and spots that had appeared overnight. The tubes of cream are great to carry around with you as they are all secure and easy to carry around without going everywhere.

How did this product make your life easier?

There wasn’t anything about these products that made my life easier as such, compared to any other cream or bath wash. It was however nice to know as a mum that the products I was using contained ingredients that were all natural. I envisage the multipurpose ointment would be good as an all-round cream rather than having lots of different creams and could be used as a nappy cream too.

Would you choose this product to win?

In my opinion these products are a luxury item due to their cost. They are the sort of thing I would use when given as a gift but not sure I would be able to afford to use these as everyday items. Having used the products, I would use the shampoo and wash as well as the general cream. They smell nice, are made from natural ingredients and last well. I wasn’t sure about the bath oil, particularly for babies as I found it quite greasy and not ideal when handling a little one in and out of the bath! There are a wide variety of creams and I’m not sure what the difference with all of them is – I think I would find one all-round cream more useful than lots of different ones.

What changes would you make to this product?

They are large pots and maybe a travel size set would be good, this could also help in reducing the cost of the item if the product was in a smaller container. This way I would be able to carry them around more easily in a changing bag, or when taking little one to stay overnight rather than decanting stuff into smaller pots.
