Testing the Thule Shine

We put the Thule Shine to the test with expecting parents Lucy and Ashley, here's how they got on...

"We are first-time parents and when facing which pushchair to buy, honestly felt completely overwhelmed by the options and travel systems and car seats! I love that this all comes in one bundle so you know you're covered, and the fact that you can get Maxi-Cosi car seat adaptors is also reassuring as this is a trusted brand of car seats that I'd already been looking into. We're still awaiting our new arrival, but have tested this pushchair as much as we can for now, and will update with more pictures and experiences when we start to use it with our baby.

Overall I was really impressed when unpacking this pram. The pram's design is sleek and modern, and the colour options are smart. I also appreciate the thoughtful design features that enhance the overall user experience. The adjustable handlebar, ample storage space, and easy folding mechanism make this pram a joy to use."

"It's evident that the designers considered the needs of busy parents and created a product that simplifies our daily routines. The pram is easy to fold and is pretty compact too, making it practical for storage and transport. That it is free-standing when folded also makes it easier to store and also for when getting it in and out of the car. The UV-protected canopy also provides excellent shade, and the ventilation ensures a comfortable environment for the little one.

One of the standout features for me is the pram's manoeuvrability. The wheels glide effortlessly, making it easy to navigate through crowded spaces and tight corners. Especially with the lock feature which allows you to have the wheels in a 360 motion or lock straight. There's barely any shaking of the bassinet itself, which I have noticed when testing out other prams in store."

"The durability of the pram is another impressive aspect. The sturdy frame and high-quality materials used in its construction give me confidence that this pram will withstand the test of time. It's clear that the manufacturers prioritised both safety and longevity, which are crucial factors for any parent.

The only negative for me would be the cost. Purchasing the add-ons can get quite costly, although you don’t necessarily need them all, some would make life easier."

Final thoughts

"I would recommend this pram to fellow parents as it provides both style and functionality. I would rate this product 4.5 stars, when considering the add ons that you have to purchase for the price, such as the car seat adaptors. Other than that, it is a fantastic pram which so far seems like it will last well - we'll be sure to update our review when our little one arrives and we can properly put this pram through its paces!
