Awards

The Joie Vinca and Ramble XL won Silver for Best Pushchair in the Mother&Baby Awards 2025.
This set is an XL so it has plenty of bassinet and seat space for your baby to grow. As expected with a product designed to last, its frame is sturdy and stylish. However, some parents found this also meant that even when folded, it was slightly heavier than they would have liked.
We had 19 real families test the product for us ahead of the awards. Read on to discover why they loved the Joie Vinca and Ramble XL despite (and for) its size.
Testing the Joie Vinca and Ramble XL

Parents were big fans of the pushchair's manoeuvrability - one told us that "the pushchair looks expensive and sturdy and would easily tackle our walks around the park, thanks to its suspension", while another tester said "I found that the pushchair was very easy to use, push and manoeuvre with both my 3 month old and my 2 year old daughters. It had a high level of performance and is sturdy, secure, safe and comfortable. It is a good quality product."
The thick wheels and sturdy suspension make this a great pick for active parents - one mum told us that "the wheels were big and solid so it felt like it could be used on all terrains". This does come with a trade-off - the large size isn't the most convenient in smaller spaces. One parent said: "It moves very smoothly and is intuitive to use, but just felt really cumbersome for things like getting down the aisle at small, city centre supermarkets or fitting into the entryway of our own or friends’ homes."
Still, as long as you have the space for it, the Joie Vinca and Ramble XL is a solid choice that is easy to set up and fold down when needed. One mum certainly agreed, telling us that "it was simple to fold and unfold for quick use and storage, but may be difficult for transport in a small car". A pleased parent also let us know that "it folded down well and was easily interchangeable between the bassinet and the toddler seat", which is great for busy mummies.

Commenting on the design, one tester said that "the fabric is of good quality, and the overall design is very stylish. The brake was extremely easy to put on/take off, it is the best one I've come across". "I think it is an appealing design and looks luxurious," said another happy parent, while a different mother told us that "my child was comfy in this pushchair, they had plenty of space. The hood kept them covered during the hot, sunny days but they still had airflow due to the vents on the side."
The comfort factor is really important to a good pushchair, so it's worth testing out! Luckily, this pram delivers. "My 2-year-old daughter was extremely comfy in this pushchair, there is plenty of growing room and space for her," said a pleased mum. Another parent with a young child agreed, telling us, "My little boy loved this pushchair. He likes to help clip himself in which was very easy for him. He often falls asleep on walks and so the different recline positions meant we could find a comfortable position for him, especially as he doesn't always like lying completely flat."
"I thought the basket underneath was a really good size and I was able to store lots of items when travelling around for the day," reported one mum commenting on the storage the pram provides. The under-seat basket was a real highlight - one parent said: "The pushchair was a really good big size, especially the shopping basket, which you could get a full week's shop under. Days out were so easy with getting a picnic underneath, plus you could also fit toys and coats and bags."

Final verdict
In summary, the Vinca and Ramble XL certainly lives up to its name, with a durable and large build that will provide exactly what it sets out to. It's not the best for small spaces, but big families who have the space to spare will enjoy a smooth ride, plenty of comfort and an elegant design. We think one of our testers put it best: "Overall, I was quite impressed with this pushchair. I quite like the design and think it’s very stylish."
