Next up in the Mother&Baby Tried&Tested hot seat, we asked parents to give their opinions on Asda Little Angels newbornnappies.

Find out what our testers thought here...

Have you tried ASDA Little Angels Newborn Nappies before?

Natalie: I have never tried ASDA's little angels newborn nappies before as I had always used a more expensive brand as I simply thought that ASDA 'cheap' nappies wouldn't be any good. But I was so impressed with the quality of these nappies and it has most definitely changed my view.

Robyn: We hadn’t tried the nappies before as we were gifted a lot of other brands plus my little girl has only just gone into the size 1.

Kelly: Yes we have used them before on our first child 4 years ago.

What did you like most about the nappies?

Emma: We liked the indication strip on the front of the nappies, it means we didn’t need to open the nappy to see if it needed changing so this is a very helpful aspect to the nappies.

Kerry: Size 2 were a good fit, we only had 1 leak, and that was a particularly full nappy. The nappy was nicely padded, but not too thick and so didn’t seem restrictive/bulky. The wetness indicator is useful.

Laura: The Little Angels nappies are super durable. We have seen no leaks and they are comfortable for our little one. They are also really quick to get on.

Were the super-soft materials kind to your baby’s skin?

Kerry: Yes. My smaller twin suffers from nappy rash sometimes, but she didn’t suffer that when using these nappies. The nappies seemed nice and soft.

Natalie: The nappies were kind to my baby's skin. No nappy rash was caused and when I took the nappy off, even if the nappy was dry my baby's bum was also dry as though it hadn't sweated. Sometimes with the Pampers nappies I would take a dry nappy off and my baby's bum feel slightly 'sticky' as though it was sweaty and hadn't been able to get fresh air.

Jillian: I have been using these nappies since the hospital and have had no issues whatsoever

How absorbent were the ASDA Little Angels Newborn nappies?

Robyn: The fit was really good, no leakages and she does massive wees so I was impressed with that.

Kelly: I feel the nappies were of a good absorbency, didn’t encounter any leaks even over night when they were on for a longer period of time.

Harriet: Very, this was something I was impressed about. Obviously you always get a few leaks here and there but overall they kept her very dry, and they were good at night time.

How comfortable was the fit, and were they easy to use and take off?

Kerry: The nappy fit well on both of my babies. The sticky straps were nice and strong and so didn’t undo when being worn. Nice and secure. They fold up nicely into a ball when used.

Emma: We found the nappies to be a good fit and experienced no leaks while using them, we found them easy to put on and take off (even with a wriggly baby!) and found the fastening tape would stick well but was easy enough to remove and re-stick if it wasn’t in the correct position or place. The only thing we would change is the colour of the fastening tape, on these nappies they are white which blends in with the nappy itself, this can make it more difficult to find the tape when changing nappies in the night in low light (other brands of nappies seem to have yellow tape which can make it a bit easier).

Laura: They feel very comfortable. My little one doesn't seem to be in any discomfort. They are super easy to get on and off which makes the night changes a dream!

What did you think of the quality of the ASDA Little Angels Newborn Nappies?

Jillian are really good and the blue line indicator is great showing a dark blue line when wet compared to other brands

Laura: 10 out of 10. No leaks, great quality and a handy feature to show when the nappy is wet.

Harriet: Very good, equivalent of more expensive brands and in actual fact I think they were better quality. They were very soft

Would you recommend ASDA Little Angels Newborn Nappies to other parents and why?

Natalie: I would 100% recommend these nappies to other parents, especially first time mums as again I think a lot of people perceive supermarket own brand nappies are no good due to the considerable cost difference to more expensive brands.

Robyn: I’ll definitely be buying these in future and will recommend to others!

Emma: Yes, they are good value for money, for the price you wouldn’t expect the same level of quality as the leading brands which are much more expensive.
