Lidl knows the most important things when choosing a nappy are dryness, protection, and comfort. That's why their Lupilu Junior Nappies now have the magical absorbing tubes to ensure ultimate dryness and leakage protection. There is no need to pay a premium price for a premium nappy with these high-quality but low price nappies from Lidl. They are dermatologically tested, latex-free, skin-friendly and independently tested. Protecting the environment is also important, therefore the padding used is from sustainably managed forests. The slim design means fewer materials, less packaging and less energy, helping to minimise the companies carbon footprint.

How did this product make your life easier?

Lisa: The nappy fits my 17-month-old daughter very well, it is high enough up her back for any teething poos, and fits around her bottom perfectly. I use these nappies as a day and nighttime nappy. I haven't experienced any leaks in the day or at night, they are super absorbent. They are very easy to use and always stay on. I have experienced with other nappies a chemical smell, however, these smell less. I can't praise these nappies enough. They are very thin and easy to grab and stick in your handbag or changing bag. I like the colourful design of the nappy. I did find that they are squeezed into the wrapper so it was a little tricky to get them out.

Seow: The Lupilu Junior Nappies are great value for money and it is certainly comparable to the other nappies on the higher price range. It worked well overnight for more than 12 hours with no spillage experienced. When full it holds its shape well. It did not sag to the weight of a heavy full nappy. My babies are comfortable with it and it stays on despite being on a very active crawling baby and an energetic toddler. I am very pleased with the product. The price is very reasonable and its design and quality are certainly a good enough product for my babies.

Alice: The nappy is doing what I expect it to do since I’ve been using this nappy my baby hasn’t experienced any leakages. My son seems to be comfortable when he’s moving around and the nappies feel soft against his skin. The nappies do seem to be quite big for size 5 nappies (compared to other nappies.) They seem to be longer, so they go higher up to his waist, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem as he hasn’t leaked anymore because of it. I would say that a criticism of the nappies is that they don’t have colour changing strip to tell you when the baby is wet - but to be honest you know when your baby is wet anyway, so this feature is not essential.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Rachel: I would recommend the Lupilu Junior Nappies (which I do not normally do lightly!) We found these to be super comfy and overall very impressed. Previously we had tried other stores own brands and were always disappointed with the quality and comfort, one brand even left my boy with rashes where the leg elastic had been. These nappies where so soft it was hard to tell the difference from a more premium range.

Lisa: Yes, I would definitely recommend these nappies to other mums. They really are value for money compared to others on the market. I love the thinness of the nappy, the design on the nappy is great although if I was being picky they could have brighter colours on the design. My daughter moves around freely in the nappies. They don't move or undo whilst she's, crawling, climbing, walking, exploring. I find they are super absorbent. They take any small if wee away from the child, she never smells in the nappies. Very easy to put on, no mistaking front and back if nappy. Velcro sticks very well even if you unstick then re-stick again.

Seow: Yes, I would highly recommend Lupilu Junior Nappies to a friend and fellow mum. This nappy is very comfortable and holds its shape very well. It lasted for more than 12 hours on my babies without any spillage. Its design is easy to use and comfortable for my babies. It is also a good value for money as it is comparable to the nappies on the higher price range in the market. It is also less bulky and lighter than some of the other nappies in the market. Therefore it is quite convenient to pack for travelling. The quality feels good and it’s soft and gentle on the baby's skin.

Would you choose this product to win?

Alice: I think Lupilu Junior Nappies could win, as the most important thing with nappies is that they stop leakages and your baby is comfortable and these nappies tick both boxes. Some mums would find the lack of a wet nappy indicator s negative, but I don’t think that’s essential. They are very soft nappies that my son can energetically crawl around in without any discomfort and without any accidents. As I say, the fact they are relatively inexpensive too is a plus because as a mum buying nappies seems to be an endless task! I love the playful and colourful design too. I would definitely buy these nappies again.

Rachel: Yes I do think Lupilu Junior Nappies should win. For a budget price it has many of the premium qualities you would expect from a more expensive product. The softness, comfortable leg seams, lack of leakages along with the price really sold it for me.

Lisa: I would mark theses nappies 10 out of 10. There isn't just one thing that stands out. These nappies don't seem to bulk up when your little ones go to the toilet like some nappies I've experienced. They are very thin under their clothes whether they are shorts, trousers or dresses. They take the wee and locks it away so she's not had any form of nappy rash. My childminder has been using the nappies as well and she's impressed with the quality of the nappy. The nappy is soft to the touch. I like the fact they do a 5 and a 5 plus range.

What changes would you make to this product?

Seow: If I could change one thing about this product is to have it in a nappy pants design. I love the material and I will definitely buy this product in the nappy pants range. Otherwise, this product has lived up to its job description and of good quality. I don’t think I can fault its design and quality of the material which is definitely priced at a competitive level. I am happy to switch to this product for my babies. Although they are very comfortable with no accidents while in this product, I would feel more comfortable with a nappy pants design when they are being very active outdoors.

Alice: I guess a wet nappy indicator may be useful when having a quick glance of the nappy, so I guess this would improve the product. Obviously, if the nappies were even cheaper that would improve the product too! Maybe the nappies could be even more colourful? It would definitely make them stand out from other nappy brands more, and for mums who are bored of buying the same thing over again. This would be particularly good in the summer when babies spend most of their time just in their nappies.

Rachel: The only thing I did notice is that the absorption for urine was not as great as other brands and I did notice that the nappy felt a little wet to touch. Now, given the price, I would not expect it to perform on par to a premium brand, it is not too far away though. Another thing is that the pack size I received was very small. I would like to see bigger sized packs and some kind of biodegradability to the nappy.
