When you're expecting or have a newborn, the demands of pregnancy and new parenthood, from morning sickness to sleep deprivation, can definitely impact your usual glow. While you might be dreaming of some new beauty treats, your budget is likely stretched thin with all the essential baby gear like prams and nappies and sometimes it can feel like there's no room to splurge on yourself.

When is the Amazon Prime Sale 2025?

But wait! With Amazon Prime Day just around the corner, you don't need to think twice about buying some beauty products for yourself because there will be some brilliant beauty deals on saving you bucket loads on your favourite brands. Can I take part if I'm not a Prime member?

No. You won't be able to take advantage of any of the Prime Day deals without a Prime membership, but it's really easy to sign up.

How to become a Prime member

Becoming a Prime member is easy - it costs £8.99 per month, or £95 for the year if you pay upfront (saving you £12.88). Or if you're a savvy parent who doesn't want to lock into a year-long contract, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial, take advantage of the deals, and then cancel before the 30 days are up. Simple!

What are the other benefits of a Prime membership?

Quick deliveries: Unlimited one-day (and even some same-day) shipping is the main feature of Amazon Prime, but there’s also now a grocery delivery service called Amazon Fresh that lets you get free deliveries (more than £40) from local supermarkets.

Prime Video: Access to the Prime Video streaming service – which lets you watch and temporarily download movies and TV shows to your phone or tablet.

Prime Photos: You get unlimited photo storage via Amazon Cloud Drive so you can save or back up your favourite images securely.

Amazon Music for Prime: This is the middle – shuffle only – tier of Amazon’s own music streaming service. You get ad-free access to 100 million songs.

Prime Reading: This lets you loan books and magazines from a specific Prime Reading catalogue to read on your smartphone, tablet, or Kindle. There is also a Kindle-focused service that gives you early access to download a new book every month for free.

Prime Early Access: Gives you up to half an hour of early access to Lightning Deals.

Prime Student: UK students (higher education) are eligible to get 50% off Amazon Prime after the six-month trial comes to an end.

Prime Gaming: Free titles and free in-game content, plus a monthly channel subscription to use on Twitch.

Prime Discounts: Your membership unlocks discounts on other Amazon services, including two free two audiobooks on Audible if you sign up for a 30-day trial, a cheaper £3.99 per month tier of Amazon Kids+ (it’s usually £6.99), and an offer that gives you Amazon Music Unlimited for £8.99 per month (usually £10.99).

Well worth it we say!
