Testing Pampers Baby-Dry Taped Nappies

Claire: Overall these nappies were useful and handy for using whilst out and about. I normally use reusable nappies however they are not always practical and I found the pampers nappies handy to have in the nappy bag. They were very compact and I could rely on them to not leak. This made life much easier for me and felt confident using them. They were very simple and easy to use.

Diane: I love Pampers Baby Dry Nappies. It does what it says on the packet it channels the fluid away, leaving baby dry. It is a good size fit, and has lovely fun designs on the nappy. They are more convenient than reusable nappies, less mess and work, no washing and drying, so major time saving for that busy parent on the go.

Katrina: These nappies do have a different feel to other brands I have tried. I have actually never tried this brand of nappies before, due to cost. However I thought these nappies were lovely, they felt much softer than other brands that I am used to buying. They fitted really well and contained liquids and solids well. We are given both varieties to try, the pull up and the nappy. I found the nappy to be a better product although the pull ups did go on a wriggly baby much easier.

Would you recommend this to other parents?

Latanya: I would recommend this product to a friend, although not perfect. I absolutely loved the cute little animal designs on the nappy with the sticky tabs on the side. I liked them much more than the ones that were on the nappy pants which I thought were a little bland in comparison. I loved that the nappies are slimline, and do not take up too much space in the nappy bag. The nappy pants fit my little one nicely, and she was very comfortable in them.

Sam: Yes easy to use and good design no leaking nappies held fluids material felt soft and not plastic like.

Sarah: I recommend the Baby Dry pants to others because I am assured that they don’t leak, I think for most parents this is one of the most important features for any nappy. I found they fit my baby well, and the stretchy waistband means they are never too tight to be uncomfortable. Second to that, I like how quickly they can be removed just by tearing at the sides, and how quickly they can be put on a wriggling baby – this speeds up the whole nappy changing task, which generally just makes life easier! The designs are also pretty cute with animals on the front and little pockets in the rear.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Shaung: Yes. Pampers is a reputable brand in nappies and the product works really well with my son. I’ve tried some other nappies but don’t feel the same satisfaction. The price is also good and you can often get a good discount/promotion. In general I feel it’s very cost effective.

Ellen: Yes due to the brand reputation I would buy these. Previous to this test I purchased these nappies particularly for bedtime use when nappy changes were less frequent. With other brands there is always a concern that the shape or absorption ability or breathability may be compromised, and you take that risk with paying less, however on sampling this product I was reassured with my initial expectations and still believe the quality, thought and consideration is embedded in the design, materials and brand. I do think this product should win as I believe the product is more reliable for the majority than others in the market and it is generally an all round better quality product for the wider user.

Claire: I'm not sure how this nappy stands out from other nappies. Whilst it is reliable and does not leak, I have found that most other own brand nappies are just as reliable but for a much lower price point. I can't think of anything about this nappy that would make me need to choose it over anything else.

What changes would you make to this product?

Diane: I wish the product could be more environmentally friendly, I try to think about ways to help the environment as much as I can. I love everything else about this product, especially the design, and features. I think in a world with bad climate change we need to try and do our bit. This would make this nappy even more appealing to me over others for that improvement.

Katrina: My mum (who looks after me son lots) did struggle with the pulls up, she found them difficult to tear when she was changing my son. I would imagine this would cause a lot of issues for grandparents as the sides of the pull-ups are fairly strong. For me it didn’t cause any issues, but grandparents or people that have wrist injuries may struggle with this. I also didn’t find the tabs on the normal nappies to be particularly stretchy, although the fit was fine I was expecting the nappy to be more stretchy.

Latanya: The only thing I would change would be to either make the nappy with the sticky tabs on the side bigger. It seemed smaller than the nappy pants, and other brand size 4 nappies. Or maybe reducing the recommended kilos that is suggested would fit the size 4 nappy with the sticky tabs on the side. And maybe make the nappy with the sticky tabs a bit more absorbent to enable it to last thoughout the night.
