Mothercare Ziba Car Seat

Basic and inexpensive option that’s roomy and light, with good features. But it doesn’t feel the sturdiest. Ideal as a spare car seat rather than for everyday use.

The Ziba is a basic model that won’t break the bank, so ideal if you’re on a tight budget. Whilst roomy and light to maneuver, it doesn’t feel as durable as other models. The side impact protection is adequate, but not as wide and deeply padded as other, more expensive products. The covers are easy to remove and wash, and the straps are super-soft.

The three-point harness can be tightened with one hand so is useful when you’re in a hurry

It has other good features like an integrated sun canopy and a super cosy full length newborn body support cushion. The three-point harness can be tightened with one hand so is useful when you’re in a hurry. The Ziba is a non-ISOFIX model that’s lightweight and meets official safety standards, but you may find better budget options. It’s a viable option for a second seat, to use for weekends at the grandparents or for your childminder.
