The Kinderkraft I-Grow Review won Bronze for Best Multi-Stage Car Seat in the Mother&Baby Awards 2025. Available in two colours, a sleek grey and an elegant black, this car seat just makes day-to-day life run much smoother when it comes to the car. The rotational aspect is a lovely touch, allowing quick and easy access to your baby when you need it and making buckling your little one in super simple. If you still need to hear more, keep reading to find out what our team of Mother & Baby testers thought when they tried the I-Grow with their children!

Testing the Kinderkraft I-Grow Child Car Seat

"The seat is good quality, easy to use and fantastic value for money. I like that you can adjust the head support, and there is a button for you to tighten the straps, so there's always the right support and comfort for the child," said a satisfied tester. You don't want to invest in a car seat that isn't going to sturdy and comfortable for your child, so it's great to hear that it lives up to expectations. "My 2.5 year old seems really comfortable in this car seat, the material is nice and soft and the seat feels nicely cushioned," revealed another mum.

Safety is always important in a car seat, and the Kinderkraft I-Grow doesn't disappoint. "This is a safe, adjustable, and long-lasting car seat," said one tester, telling us that "it has great safety features like side impact protection, a 5-point harness system, and Isofix installation". Knowing that the seat meets Kinderkraft's high safety standards is really soothing for any worried parents - one mum was pleased that "it's very easy and fast to install, with the isofix indicators making sure it's fitted safely and the extra security from the tether strap providing great peace of mind."

Speaking of the installation, this was another highlight for our testers. "The easiest car seat ever to install. It was literally clip in and go! My child's Daddy is very grateful for such ease, as car seats are not his forte!" said a very happy mum. Another parent was initially a little more sceptical, but came to love the seat when they began to install it, saying: "It looks sleek in design. I was a bit dubious of the ankle tether strap over a leg support, but it makes for a very easy, foolproof install."

"I love that it can grow with your child (up to 12 years old!) and that it supports rear facing until four years old," said one mum, commenting on the longevity of the seat. Having just one car seat that can last for that long is impressive - another parent told us: "I love the I-Grow car seat, as it’s the only car seat you will ever need. It can grow from birth with your baby. I love the colour and the style too - this is good value for money."

It's a superb seat overall, and a standout feature that our testers loved was the 360-degree turning feature, as it "works with ease and swivels with the release of a slide button". One mum told us it outperformed competitors, revealing that "the 360 degree turning function felt really smooth to use and the seat never got stuck or had to be forcefully moved, which we have had on other seats with previous children". Another parent even described the 360 spin base as a "godsend", so you know it really helps!

Final verdict

In summary, the Kinderkraft I-Grow easily won over our testers, offering them ease of use and peace of mind when travelling with their children. "It felt very solid and safe as a car seat. The sides will give protection, and they fit securely in my car," said a pleased parent. The Kinderkraft I-Grow seems like a great investment if you want a car seat that will grow with your child and truly stand the test of time.
