Testing the Fisher Price Leopard Jumperoo
As a working, single mummy to two, I am always on the hunt for toys and accessories that benefit our busy lifestyle. My son, Atlas, is 10 months old and at the age where parents need to have a set of eyes in the back of their head. So I have to say it’s very handy to have a safe place to put him and know that he cannot get himself into trouble.
As a family, we are big fans of the Jumperoo bouncers. My daughter, who is now six, loved her Jumperoo when she was younger, so we were excited to see how my son would feel about it.
The Leaping Leopard Baby Jumper is suitable for babies 6 months onwards, and as I said, it makes for a perfect place to plonk your little one when you need to keep them safe and not worry about them getting in trouble. It has a seat that rotates 360 degrees, allowing your little one to fully explore the full sensory experience.
There were certain features I found particularly handy - for example, it has three height settings, which means that you can adjust the straps to raise or lower the seat. As my son grew taller, we raised the height of the seat so he remained comfortable and could get some good bounces in!

The seat is washable too, so I didn’t need to worry when he had a nappy explosion or the one time he bounced a little too much with his reflux, which caused a milky mess. The cover is so easy to remove, and after a quick machine wash, it was ready to slip back on.
I am not particularly good at any DIY or assembling but the instructions are so clear to follow. I was able to set the Jumperoo up within minutes and adjusting the straps can be done by pulling them underneath the frame. This can be done within a matter of seconds to ensure your child is as comfortable as possible and ready to bounce and twist.
At 79W x 91.5Hcm, this particular Jumperoo is smaller than other Jumperoo styles, and it is perfect if you have limited space or a compact living area. Whilst it is smaller, it doesn’t compromise on the sensory accessories. There are two types of music, a keyboard, lots of baby-friendly sounds and six other toys to experience, meaning there are eight different activities or toys in total. Every bounce my son did, there would be a musical response, which he found very entertaining. While you will need 3x AA batteries for this, I was glad not to have to plug it in and have wires trailing around.
While this is overall an exceptionally positive review for this product, my first observation for an area of development is not necessarily related to the product, but around a baby's need for exploration. I have found that as my son gets bigger and more curious, he can become frustrated at being in the Jumperoo. Naturally, as babies do, he wishes to explore his environment and can often become irritated at being unable to do so when in the Jumperoo. If you are going to invest in this product, it may be of more benefit to your child during their pre-crawling stage of development.

The other area of development I have noted is the 360-seat design. Whilst the 360-degree seat swivel is a positive, the seat can be quite tricky for my son to move on his own and often requires me to twist it for him. Whilst it doesn’t get stuck, it can feel that there is some resistance when attempting to swivel and needs a fair bit of strength from your baby to twist and turn.
Final thoughts
Overall, my son and I both feel that the Leaping Leopard Jumperoo is an exciting and well-loved accessory to our home. It gets lots of use in our home and it appears that most parents agree with this, with the product receiving glowing reviews across the internet and social media platforms. We remain firm Jumperoo fans, and we would recommend this to parents of children who are aged six months and above. It provides a safe place for your child to explore and a range of sensory activities that provide endless entertainment for your little one.
