Testing the LitteLife Cross Country S4 Child Carrier

I watched a video online on how to get my child in the LitteLife Cross Country S4 Child Carrier. He is 11 months so can sit easily in the seat and let me strap him in with ease. It's a really easy strap over his head and two each side. It felt safe and sturdy. I didn't do the front strap up across my chest at first and my back was hurting but once I could get the strap done up and had adjusted the other straps I was comfortable and could walk easily. Baby was happy, although he kept pulling my hair!

We liked using the sun shade too, it is easy to add on to the seat and worked well. I put his nappies and wipes in the back pocket and his drink in the side pocket. It all fit well and had more room if needed. I wouldn't recommend using for a long time if on your own as I needed a bag for snacks, extra clothes etc.

Overall I really like the carrier. It looks good, is easy to use and a lot of thought has gone into the design regarding pockets, sunshade and little extras such as the face cushion. It's quite big but can fit in the boot of a car, or on the back seat. It takes some practice to lift onto your back with your child in but I got the hang of it quite quickly although I found it harder to remove him though.

Final thoughts

I haven't used a carrier quite like this one before. I have a soft baby carrier which I find useful as I can keep it under his pram and swap him from the pram if I need to but I can't do this with this carrier as it's so big. But for an organised walk, it's really good and I would recommend it to friends and family, especially if they spend a lot of time outdoors. The carrier is well thought out and very light.

If I could change something about the carrier, I would like it to fold away so it can be stored neatly in a cupboard. This would also make it easier to travel with, we had to put it on the back seat as we had the pram in the boot already. Overall though it is really good and I can't think of anything else I would change.
