Just because you're a new mama doesn't mean you don't want to look glam. Of course, you're getting a little less sleep, your skincare routine has taken a back seat, and your joggers probably have a porridge stain. Hey, no judgments here!

Finding the perfect mascara is tricky at the best of times, but even harder when your routine involves asking your toddler to put their shoes on 19203 times a day.

Sometimes it seems impossible to find a trusty mascara that gives you luscious lashes without the clumps, without the flakes, and one that will last you all day without looking like a panda when you catch yourself in the mirror.

We have made a list of our favourite mascaras that will definitely see you through the day until your little tot has finally hit the hay.

L'Oreal's telescopic mascara is hugely popular, and we can see why. This fibre formula mascara works to lengthen and separate lashes for an elongated look.

One reviewer said: I've used many brands of mascara over the years but have to say that I always end up going back to L'Oreal. This mascara is wonderful, the brush ensures that the mascara goes on evenly and it separates the lashes thereby eliminating the "clump" effect! It does not smudge or run but comes off very easily at the end of the day.

This is the perfect everyday mascara. It sculpts, lengthens and volumises - what more could you want. If you love the natural look, this is definitely the mascara for you - zero clumps, zero smudges, and zero flakes. 91 per cent of people said Lash Slick lasts all day - we'll take that.

One reviewer said: 'This is now the only mascara I use. It is very light, and as someone who likes light makeup, it's perfect! It lengthens my eyelashes while still making them look almost makeup-free (no clumping!). Favorite mascara.'

Infused with bamboo extract and fibers for long, full lashes. This mascara allows you to build the volume you want while still leaving your lashes looking and feeling flexible so you avoid that spider leg look! This stuff also sticks so won't budge during the day, but you might need to spend a bit longer removing it at the end of the day.

One reviewer said: 'I purchased it a couple of days ago (after seeing a video on TikTok) and finally got to try it today. It is honestly the best mascara I've ever owned and the only one I'll ever use. I was happy with only one coat, but decided to apply a second just so I can see if all those videos were true. And they sure were.'

There's a reason this mascara has been such a favourite for such a long time. Available in black, brown and blue, this formula is designed to last to visibly lengthen and curl eyelashes and it's also easily buildable - it’s no wonder this mascara has picked up multiple beauty awards!

One reviewer said: 'This is my favourite mascara ever, I would give more than 5 stars if I could. People actually always think I’m wearing fake eyelashes! It makes my eyelashes look amazing, really long and full, the wand separates eyelashes perfectly and it isn’t clumpy. The only thing is that it isn’t waterproof but that doesn’t bother me, it never runs and I think makes it easier to remove when removing makeup. I’ve been using this mascara for about 10 years, I have tried a couple of other mascaras also in that time including other benefit ones but always go back to this!'

If you're blessed with long lashes, you might prefer a clear mascara. Clear mascaras are a great option if you're always rubbing your eyes and especially good for holidays when you're dipping in and out of the pool with toddlers who love to splash!

One reviewer said: 'My go to clear mascara for days where I wanna go for a natural look u0026 not wear mascara! very cheap and very good product - I also use on lashes and as a brow gel and it works out fine! I put a few drops of castor oil to help grow my lashes!'

If a waterproof formula is a must for you, this mascara is a brilliant and affordable option. It will get you through bathtime and rainy school runs, leaving you with thicker-looking lashes that last.

One reviewer said: 'I’m very picky about my mascara since I don’t want it all over my face after touching my eyes, but this mascara definitely held on! It’s the best of both worlds…it stays on when you want it, and comes off easily with the right makeup remover. I love it!'

As the number one selling mascara in the US, this mascara works for every occasion. The hourglass-shaped brush coats every lash for a lifted, flirty, fluttery, full layer of long-lasting lashes that'll leave your eyes feeling gorgeous and glam. It's also cruelty-free and vegan-friendly which we love!

One reviewer said: 'The best. Hands down. No other mascara compares in my opinion. It creates so much volume with my lashes, and the length is OMG. I get compliments sometimes asking if my lashes are fake when I'm wearing this. It doesn't flake off or smear, and stays put all day. I use no other mascara except this!'

With a super slim wand that separates and coats lashes evenly, this mascara is great if you want to avoid a clumpy look. It's cruelty free, vegan and very affordable, so is an all around winner in our eyes.

One reviewer said: 'I absolutely love this mascara! I’ve been using L’Oréal for years but tried this on a whim and have fallen in love with it! Great product and even better price! Definitely buying again!'
