Dribble Defence is a lightweight balm for your little one’s chin, cheeks, neck, or skin creases; it’s designed to prevent and treat any pesky dribble rash.
Read on to find out what our panel of mum testers thought to these two My Expert Midwife products.

What did you like most about Dribble Defence?
Fiona: “The defence barrier was very good, it stayed on well and as it had no smell, it wasn’t distracting in any way! It really helped keep the redness to a complete minimum, sometimes stopping it completely.”
Leigh: “What I like most about the Dribble Defence is the texture. I was worried about it being sticky on my child’s face/neck and attracting dirt or food as they do when on the move, but it didn’t!”
Molly: “The packaging is very attractive and looks very professional. The balm itself is very smooth and has a lovely texture that feels very moisturising on the skin and should really help protect my baby’s delicate skin from dribble rash.”
How effective did you find Dribble Defence on your baby's skin?
Fiona: “Extremely good, kept my baby’s skin soft, not drying it out and helped to keep the redness down.”
Kirsty: “Very effective. My little one has more teeth coming so it was a great time to test the product. Even on hot sunny days, there was no rash or redness from the dribble, so a great barrier balm.”
Keeley: “My son is teething at the moment and this helped soothe his skin on his chin.”
How does Dribble Defence compare to other brands you've used on your baby's skin to help dribble rashes?
Fiona: “Dribble Defence is much better, it stays on the skin for longer and isn’t as thick when applied either.”
Kirsty: “It is easy to apply, even with a wiggly little one and doesn't leave a greasy residue like other brands. It is also a light, almost clear-coloured product so even when you don't have time to rub it all in, there is no white cream smears on little one’s face.”
Sarah: “It is much more effective and less mess than other products I have used.”
How easy did you find it to use and apply Dribble Defence?
Molly: “The product is extremely easy to apply. The bottle allows for easy dispensing, and the serum itself is a great consistency, so it covers all the nooks and crannies in between all the chubby baby rolls. I like that this can also be used on his face as it seems to make his cheeks feel super soft.”
Abby: “Very easy, it’s easy to get the product out and apply it.”
Kirsty: “Very! Because it is so thick you can get the volume you want out of the tube and it doesn’t just run off your fingertips before you have tried to apply it to little one’s chin and cheeks.”
Would you recommend Dribble Defence to other parents?
Fiona: “I would definitely recommend Dribble Defence due to the all-natural ingredients, much better for the skin. Also the extreme effectiveness of keeping the redness from dribble at bay.”
Abby: “I would recommend it if you're baby dribbles a lot and suffers with dribble rashes, it's simple and easy to use, it's gentle on skin yet effective.”
Kirsty: “Yes! It’s a great product and does what it says it will. It is also a great lip balm!”
Would you buy Dribble Defence again?
Fiona: “I would pay for the product, again for how well it treated the redness and how well it stayed on my son’s face. Due to it being fragrance free too, he didn’t notice it was on.”
Abby: “I would buy it again knowing it works well and doesn't have any adverse reaction on my baby's skin.”

How important are the ingredients to you when buying a bum balm for your baby?
Leigh: “Ingredients are important in anything you put on your baby, especially when it’s something that will be used in sensitive areas such as the face.”
Molly: “In the past I haven’t really noticed what the ingredients are when choosing a nappy rash/prevention cream but after noticing that a leading brand is no longer producing theirs as it’s got a high chemical content it’s great to find a balm that has minimal ingredients that appear to have a more natural background.”
How important is it to you that this Bum Balm is developed by midwives?
Fiona: “It is very important, as they know so much about babies!”
Leigh: “Knowing this product is developed by midwives helps me feel at ease as they have good knowledge on what is good for our babies.”
What did you like most about this Bum Balm?
Leigh: “What I like most about the Bum balm is the texture, I was worried it would be greasy but it isn’t.”
Molly: “The consistency of the Bum Balm is very nice to apply, it’s very easy to spread a thin layer over nicely and it seems to be so soft and soothing for my baby’s delicate skin.”

Fiona: “I found it really effective. At the same time as trying this, my son started getting some teeth in so his bum for quite red and sore, I am convinced the bum balm really helped so soothe it and heal any redness.”

Leigh: “I found the Bum Balm very effective for my 11-month-old! He sometimes gets really sore, in the past week of using this I have really noticed a difference.”
