This month, we’re putting the Joie versiti™ pushchair to the test with our panel of real mum testers. Our mums try out the latest baby products under real life conditions, as if they’d purchased the items themselves – no lab conditions here!
The Joie versiti™ pushchair is designed for families who need flexibility from their travel gear – it easily adjusts from a single to a double pushchair, making it perfect for growing families who don’t want to invest in multiple pushchairs. You can attach carry cots and infant carriers to the base, making it usable in more than 20 different modes.
The toddler seat in the versiti™ pushchair can be changed between world- and parent-facing, meaning your little one can watch you and communicate with you, or look out at the world and learn about everything around them. It’s certified suitable from birth to 22kg in forward-facing mode.
The seat can be adjusted to three different heights, allowing you to find the right mode and position for you; it’s easy to swap between pushchair to carry cot, to car seat, and infant carrier, thanks to the one-click adapters that are really simple to use.

To cope with unpredictable British weather there’s a full size UPF+ 50 all-weather canopy.
Your little one will be comfortable wherever you’re walking thanks to four recline positions on the seat, and two positions for the calf support to look after their little legs. All-wheel suspension makes sure you have a smooth ride over rough terrain or bumpy high streets.
For your comfort while pushing the versiti™, there are five adjustable height positions on the handle, making it suitable for you and whoever else is taking charge.
Journeys out with the versiti™ are totally stress-free thanks to the roomy storage basket underneath – we know how important this is – and there’s also a closed section too. Extra-large PunctureProof™ foam-filled rubber tyres make the ride smooth, while folding the pushchair up is quick and easy thanks to the simple fold mechanism (in single seat mode), which works in both world- and parent-facing, so no need to switch modes when you need to pack it away. It also stands up when folded – no falling over just when you’re about to tidy it away!
But that’s enough from us – let’s hear the opinions of our mum testers and find out how the versiti™ pushchair suits real life with a baby.
How easy did you find versiti™ to use, from set up to fold?
Jade Alderson: “I was really surprised how easy the versiti™ was to set up straight out the box. It was only a case of removing packaging and popping the wheels on, which just click on. The seat was ready to attach, I just had to adjust the harness height and it was ready to go for a test drive! To fold the versiti™ it has a sliding button to the unlock setting then just press the other button and that's it.”
Leah Dean: “I found the Joie versiti™ super easy to use. The set-up was extremely easy and I was able to do so without following the instructions, it was quick and easy to do. The fold of the pram is super easy, it folds with a click of a button and can be done one handed. You can also fold this pram with both sibling seats on however I found it more compact when removing one seat unit and placing that on top of the pram in the boot of the car.”
Tiffany Jenkins: “The versiti™ is really easy to set up for the first time, you just take the frame out of the box, click the wheels in place, place the seats on, and it’s ready to go! Opening the pram is really easy, taking the seats on and off is simple, and folding the pram is extremely easy, especially in comparison to other prams. It is really lightweight so carrying it in and out of a car and then unfolding it is really simple to do and makes getting out and about very enjoyable.”
Chelsea: “Wow! For a double pram this was the easiest set-up ever. To fold the pram is really impressive, especially when some double prams are so bulky. The seat folds in half, the pram frame is easy to fold down, you can take the wheels off too. The compatible ramble™ xl folds down so flat, it’s very slim line and can be stored in small gaps. Getting it into a mid-size car is really impressive, as I can put the frame in boot and the ramble™ and sibling seat in the front or the back to save space in boot for shopping!”
Shannon Petrisor: “The versiti™ is so easy to set up, use and fold. The chassis stands up so protects it from damage and is great for storing. Setting up is so easy, simply unhook and pull up, folding is also great. Using the versiti™ has been great so far and I feel like this is a great single to double option for families.”

What features of versiti™ made you feel confident that your baby was safe and secure?
Jade Alderson: “The first has to be the large sunshade on the versiti™, it covers both children really well and protects them from the sun. The second is the brake, I absolutely love how easy the brake is to operate and how it's located on the right hand side as opposed to the middle like most prams.”
Tiffany Jenkins: “The straps and fastenings are really secure and go around children’s arms and waist, keeping them secure in the seat. The buckles are easy to do up and undo, with each strap being clipped into the side of the buckle separately, and the buckle is secure enough so that children can’t undo them. The straps stay in place and don’t loosen when the pram is being used keeping children securely in the seat. The seats are fantastic quality and there are slightly raised sides on the base of the seat meaning children’s legs are kept safely on the seat and can’t fall off the side. The brake is easy to engage and is really secure once on, the pram doesn’t move or roll at all even when on a steep hill.”
Chelsea: “ramble™ xl is so safe with the amazing features that are included, with breathable material mesh on the side of carry cot and in the hood, so I know when the weather gets hotter I know that it will be more breathable for him; the soft touch material on the mattress and inside the carry cot is so much nicer for my little one’s hands – it’s also really good for sensory as it’s a different texture. The sibling seat support bar also helps with extra safety, and it’s wide enough so I can attach her toys to it; the harness padding feels like luxury - well-padded so I know they won’t dig on her arms, and they are longer than a normal harness padding.”
Shannon Petrisor: “The pram is so well built I have not had any concerns in using it as both a single and a double. The suspension is great and has outperformed my expectations on different terrain while still remaining lightweight and a smooth journey. My newborn uses the versiti™ with the ramble™ xl which goes on to the frame with adaptors and I love how big it is giving my baby much needed space and comfort. Even on different terrain he is not jolted about and looks comfortable and happy.”
Did you feel as though your baby was comfortable when travelling in versiti™?
Jade Alderson: “I feel that the girls are very comfortable in the versiti™. My baby falls asleep very quickly and my three-year-old tells me she loves it and doesn't want to get out. Straight out of the box I noticed how plush and padded the seats are.”
Tiffany Jenkins: “My children seemed to really enjoy being in the versiti™ pram, the seats are cushioned and feel really comfortable, and the fabric is soft meaning even when wearing short sleeves and shorts their skin isn’t rubbed or irritated. The shape of the versiti™ seats is really well designed and slightly curved rather than completely flat, meaning my children were able to comfortably nap while on the go. The extendable hood keeps them shaded and in a darker environment to aid sleep. The seat hoods have a small mesh section with a cover that can be lifted up to check on children without disturbing them, a fantastic feature that I have found really useful. The seat hood also keeps them protected from the sun and covers them really well, even on very hot days. The versiti™ pram has great suspension meaning even when being used on rough terrain, children are comfortable and aren’t rocked around too much. I found having my younger child in the top seat worked better as they could bend their legs more easily, and my older child was more comfortable having more leg room while in the bottom seat. When napping it worked better for my toddler to be in the top seat and my baby to be in the bottom seat, as when both seats are lying flat the footrest of the top seat comes over half of the bottom seat.”
Chelsea: “My toddler doesn’t like pushchairs; we find that sibling seat is very well padded, more than other prams, which makes her feel more comfortable and relaxed. My newborn doesn’t scream or get upset while in the carry cot, he normally gets upset in certain prams as he doesn’t find them comfy, but with the ramble™ xl I find that the soft comfy material on the mattress and around the side of the carry cot really helped him be comfortable while being in the pram. ”

What were your favourite features of the versiti™ pushchair?
Jade Alderson: “Probably how many options there are to place the seats on the versiti™! I'm a massive fan of having them parent facing but having that flexibility is great. My three-year-old likes facing out in the bottom seat and I have the baby facing me in the top seat. The giant basket is also a game changer, it's absolutely huge. Fits everything in and more.”
Leah Dean: “After using this pram for a few weeks, I personally love how easy is to switch between the single and double mode. My two-year-old doesn’t always want to use the pram so being able to quickly change it to single mode if needed made going out easy. I also really liked the large storage basket which could fit a lot more things in than prams I’ve used in the past.”
Tiffany Jenkins: “My favourite features of the versiti™ pram are the ease of unfold and folding the pram, the easy to engage and release brake, and the light weight of the pram. All of these features make using it really easy and make getting out and about with two young children enjoyable, using the versiti™ gives me a lot of confidence. The large basket is also amazing and fits so many things in, making the versiti™ a fantastic pram to use when going out for the day and needing a big bag.”
Chelsea: “The extendable hand bar, the breathable mesh material, the cooling material cover on the carry cot knowing that my baby won’t get too warm while in the carry cot in the hot summer months to come, the large basket is really handy, especially for shopping, really useful for someone that doesn’t drive! Plus the extra basket that can be attached on to the pram, really good to have baby bottles in and flask to make up bottle on go! Also the sibling seat is really good for toddlers who are tall.”
Shannon Petrisor: “I absolutely love the storage basket - exactly what a mum of two needs. I no longer have to worry about how I’m going to access my changing bag quickly as it’s all so accessible and the basket add on is amazing when using it as a single pram.”

Is there anything you would change about versiti™?
Jade Alderson: “The versiti™ is quite big and while it folds surprisingly slim it's really tall when folded so still takes up a lot of boot space. The handle height is adjustable but it's already pretty tall before adjusting it. I'm tall at 5"11 so someone much smaller might struggle with the already high height.”
Chelsea: “The only thing I would change is having the carry cot not sticking out so much when the sibling seat is on. Then again if you changed it, it wouldn’t be the versiti™ and I love this pram!”

How easily were you able to attach and detach you the ramble™ xl carry cot/ versiti™ sibling
Jade Alderson: “The versiti™ sibling seat clicks on straight out of the box, so it was very easy to attach!”
Leah Dean: “The versiti™ sibling seat was super easy to attach and detach to the pram frame, it clicks into place very easily which makes assembly hassle free.”
Tiffany Jenkins: “The versiti™ sibling seat is extremely easy to attach and detach, the seat easily clicks into place and the clips are really easy to use to remove the seat. The settings are easy to change so the seat can be added/removed and the pram used in single/double mode. You have to detach the seat with one hand as the clips on either side have to be released at the same time, but the clips are very easy to use.”
Chelsea: “It’s super easy to attach and detach both sibling seat and ramble™ xl carry cot, you just slide the grey buttons and it’s comes off, it’s the easiest pram I had that fast to do! Especially when I am out and my toddler wants to go in pram and I carrying the seat I can do it within five minutes, no waiting around someone to help me can do it on my own! Very impressed.”
Shannon Petrisor: “Very easily, the adapters fit perfectly and the ramble™ xl carry cot simple slots in. The sibling seat also fits in great and no adapters are required. Removal is so easy with the buttons there is no sticking and so quick, which is just what I need.”
What features of your ramble™ xl carry cot / versiti™ sibling seat made you feel confident that your baby was safe and secure?
Jade Alderson: “The plush padding and the height adjustable harness made me feel that my baby was safe and secure in the versiti™ as I could ensure a snug fit.”
Tiffany Jenkins: “The seat has slightly raised sides so that children's legs can’t slip off the side of the seat, and the straps are very secure and the buckle doesn’t come undone without being unclipped by an adult. The extendable hood made me feel confident that my baby was shielded from the sun but could still comfortably see out and enjoy their view.”
Shannon Petrisor: “The structure of both seats is so sturdy. The ramble™ xl mattress is great and my newborn looks so comfortable and content during use, he is not moving around when I am going across uneven terrain. I also love the cover as it comes down so low that it protects him from the sun without the need of an umbrella. The sibling seat is so comfortable for my three-year-old, he much prefers this to previous prams and strollers we have used. I like how easy it is to fasten the straps and he feels comfortable and I know he is safe and secure.”
What did you like about having the ramble™ xl carry cot/ versiti™ sibling seat on the versiti™?
Leah Dean: “I enjoyed having the convenience of having both children in one pram but also having the option to easily remove the versiti™ seat unit if my two-year-old wanted to walk. Having the option to use it in single or double mode allows parents with smaller age gaps to have the option of a single and double pram all in one.”
Tiffany Jenkins: “I like being able to have both of my children comfortably in the pram when using the versiti™ sibling seat and knowing they are both in very safe seats. It is great to be able to use the sibling seat in different configurations, and allowing each child to take turns in the top or bottom seats.”
Shannon Petrisor: “I like how I can see both children and the option to have the seats in different positions depending on whether I have both children or only one. I like how the pram does not feel bulky like other double prams and you have the option to use as a single as well.”
Did you feel as though both children were comfortable when travelling in the versiti™ with ramble™ xl carrycot / versiti™ sibling seat attached?
Jade Alderson: “It took some playing around with the different adjustments to make sure both children were comfortable when in the versiti™ but once we found the best position for them (toddler facing out at the bottom and baby parent facing at the top) they were very comfortable and happy!”
Chelsea: “Definitely my toddler was really happy in it as she was facing me and not the outside world where she gets scared, or overwhelmed, my newborn was definitely comfortable as he fell asleep within a few minutes of being in the carry cot.”
Would you recommend the versiti™ pushchair to another parent and why?
Jade Alderson: “I would recommend the versiti™ to another parent with two young children. It's so much easier to use than a side by side double and it was nice to not worry about fitting in doors while out shopping. It's also a nice-looking pram so you don't have to sacrifice looks for functionality as you get both with the versiti™!”
Leah Dean: “Yes, I would recommend the joie versiti™ to another parent. It’s lightweight, easy to use and ideal for everyday use. It also has a good price point making it a great option for parents with smaller age gaps who are looking for a double that can also be used as a single.”
Tiffany Jenkins: “I definitely would recommend the versiti™ to another parent - it is a fantastic, lightweight option for a double pram for everyday use. Being able to use it in single or double mode, plus all of the configuration options when in double mode, make it a very versatile pram and give parents lots of different options to make their children comfortable. I found the size of the basket much larger than other prams, making it useful for days out or going shopping. The pram is easy to manoeuvre, and I feel that my children are really safe and comfortable in the pram - overall I feel very confident using the versiti™ and find it a really great single-to-double pram.”
Chelsea: “Yes 100% recommend the versiti™ pushchair and carry cot! I find that the pushchair is suitable for toddlers and newborn, it makes shopping and going out places so much easier and it’s easy to fit through doors.”
Shannon Petrisor: “Yes I would - the ease of set up, the fold, the storage and easy drive using the pram. The storage basket is amazing with plenty of space. The different ways you can have the pram is perfect as every scenario is covered, and the smoothness of the pram is great in comparison to other prams I have used, this is my favourite.”
Overall, what is your score out of 10 (10 being the highest) of versiti™ and why?
Shannon Petrisor: “10 - I scored this pram very highly as I am extremely impressed. The pram can grow with you as a family and in both single and double mode, the storage basket is great and accessible and the smoothness of the journey for both my children is amazing. My newborn looks safe and comfortable and my three-year-old loves it as well. Well done Joie!”
Jade Alderson: “I'd say 8. The versiti™ is overall a great pushchair with the flexibility that is needed with a baby and toddler. The biggest con for me is the size of it and how it fills my boot up. I have a Ford Focus so a mid sized boot but I wouldn't be able to do the food shop with the pram in the car therefore I would also need a stroller for those trips.”
Leah Dean: “I would give the Joie versiti™ a 9/10. It’s lightweight, easy to fold and a great pram for everyday use. My children seemed comfortable when in the pram and it handled well on different surfaces. I would give it a 10 if it was a little more compact when folding down but this is to be expected with tandem prams.”
