She welcomed her first baby earlier this month!

EastEnders fan-favourite Lacey Turner AKA Stacey Slater welcomed her first baby earlier this month with husband Matt Kay.

The couple, who got married in 2017, suffered from two devastating miscarriages but welcomed 'miracle' baby Dusty on Friday 12th July.

Lacey, who has starred in EastEnders on and off since 2004, revealed the unique name of her daughter with Matt in an interview with OK! magazine, adding that the pair had found it after an Internet search.

Lacey has now revealed details of the birth to the publication, confirming that she had a water birth with Dusty that she found 'enjoyable'.

Describing her "short" and "amazing" labour, Lacey admitted that she feels "lucky" to be able to say that.

"I went into labour at 2am on Friday July 12 and had her at 8.45am, so it was a short labour and it was five days before my actual due date. My contractions started coming every four minutes and within an hour they were every two minutes - I had the loveliest midwife, too."

She explained that Matt had been by her side for the water birth alongside Lacey's mum, who actually gave birth to her sister in the same hospital 17 years ago, "I was on the same ward at Watford General Hospital as where my mum had given birth – I was in the next room in fact!"

The actress added that she'd only had gas and air and that the pain "halved" when she got in the water.

"You hear so many horror stories about labour but I feel lucky to be able to say I had a really lovely time. Not everyone has a horrible time and I would’ve liked to have heard more positive stories," explaining that Matt filmed the birth and that they've already watched it back.

Congratulations to the family!
