Easter isn’t too far away and there’s no better way to set the mood than with some seasonal songs. Unlike Christmas and New Year, Easter songs for kids are slightly harder to come by. However, they do exist! It’s a bit like an Easter egg hunt, you’ve just got to search really hard to find them.

Luckily, we’ve done all the hunting for you and have rounded up our favourite Easter songs for kids, that are perfect for playing alongside your Easter activities.

1. "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" by The Kiboomers

This song has been an Easter favourite since it was first recorded by Gene Autry in 1950. Kid band ‘The Kiboomers’ have taken their own twist on the classic to make it sound a little more ‘upbeat’ and child-friendly.

2. "Easter Parade" by The Hit Co.

Here’s another fun cover, this time by The Hit Co., of the song performed by Judy Garland and Fred Astaire in the 1948 film Easter Parade.

3. "The Bunny Hop" by Ray Anthony

Your kids will be up and dancing to this for sure! The moves are so easy to learn, that they’ll be bunny-hopping around the room in no time!

4. "Easter Bunny Bop" by Bounce Patrol

This song is an ode to every child’s favourite Easter animal, the Easter bunny! It’s upbeat and has a fun dance routine too, although it’s a little more complicated than ‘The Bunny Hop’.

5. "I Want Candy" by Bow Wow Wow/From the movie Hop

Hop was one of the most successful comedy releases in 2011. It tells the tale of the Easter bunny’s son, who wants to play drums rather than follow his fathers traditions. It’s a great one for a sing-a-long and the lyrics make it perfect to play while doing an Easter egg hunt.

6. "Going on an Easter Egg Hunt" by the Kiboomers

If your child’s a fan of the classic tale ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’ then they’ll love this song by the Kiboomers, which is very similar, but is all about hunting Easter eggs.

7. "Hot Cross Buns" by Little Baby Bum

Ok, so technically it’s not an Easter song per say, but it’s inspired by one of our favourite Easter treats. Maybe it will even get the kids in the mood to make their own.

8. "It’s a Happy Day’ by Yancy & Little Praise Party

For many families, Easter is a time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. While this song doesn’t go too much into that, it does have  a super catchy tune and the lyrics appear on the screen so everyone can join in.

9. "Funny Little Bunny (With The Powder Puff Tail)" by Gene Autry

Gene Autry has recorded some brilliant seasonal songs, such as "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer", "Frosty the Snowman" and even this Easter tune.

10. "Mister Rabbit" by Caspar Babypants

Technically not a song about Easter, but it is a very catchy cute tune about a fluffy little bunny who’s soul must shine. It’s upbeat and positive, which is what Spring (and Easter) is really all about.
